Re: FMCG

OK, this had been bugging me, so I googled: FMCG = Fast Moving Consumer Goods

Sorry Drauh, I hadn't realised that hadn't been covered! FMCG is a marketing-speak term for the things that are purchased fairly regularly and without too much thought. they're usually consumables; as in, you use them or eat/drink them and then replace them on a regular basis. Baked beans, sticky tape, beer... Smile

A lot has happened. Well....at least we think it changes our focus. There was a new entry in Jon's journal that made us look at different clues. There are too many new posts to point you anywhere. Just browse around.

Jumping on a bit late, i know... but ILB really turned me towards these games...

did some digging and feel free to trout me to hell (j/k)
but I found a hard to reach panel on the top floor next to the locked room... clicking it reveals a hidden message under the kitchen counter "5045"

beyond that i think everything else i found would have been found by now...

Is the picture in the magazine (in the living room of the Hiding Room site) the same one depicting the last sighting on hewalksamongus.com? only difference is it seems that the real sighting is in the magazine.

well...

I'm afraid this has also been covered.

Both photos are edited versions of ads for the company creating this ARG. It is not believed that they hold any major significance.

recent email from Jon

I am new here and new to the game so please bear with me if this is old news.

I just received an email from Jon Harker

2 words:

Mutatis mutandis

Latin for "that having been changed which had to be changed" or more commonly, "with the necessary changes"

anyone else get this email?

As I just double checked my email and saw nothing, I'm wondering: did you just log into the cache with the ibidem password and supply your own email address? If so, than that is the email that gives you the clue on how to find the confer password as discussed in this thread.

There are also a number of other posts throughout the fourm talking about this email. Just do a search for Mutatis mutandis and you'll be able to find them all.

It's not in a foreign language, just a script font.

I think it was covered in an earlier thread. Nice try, though.

True, Smokey- but it's not written in greek, it's written in Microsoft's "Symbol" font, most of the characters of which are greek but they aren't transliterated exactly from the greek alphabet to the roman one.
