[SPEC] sente.co.uk?

Uh, I'm a total newbie to the AGR scene (my first post) so please forgive me if this has already been raised (couldn't find it on a fairly detailed search though) - has anyone taken a look at http://www.sente.co.uk?

I dunno, maybe I'm just paranoid, but the site seemed a little 'off'. Nothing major and it could just be iffy web-design but I thought you lot might be interested.

Cheers

Seej

P.S. perhaps I should mention that I sent a vague request for info to the guy who runs the site and he sent an equally vague reply - maybe we shouldn't innundate them with similar mails for the sake of courtesy - anyone wants to look at my message I'll happily stick it up here.

Despite managing to misplace the world's most important cube, I doubt even our Sente would be silly enough to expect people to pay $10 for an app that lets you set files to be read only Neutral

(Knowing average joe the computer user, said product is probably actually very popular, and thus furthers my loss of faith in humanity. But I digress)

Hmmm.... yeah, it doesn't seem like much.
Looking at source revealed nothing to me
(except whomever did this names his/her images with 'y' at the end, like
images/homey.gif','images/abouty.gif','images/softwarey.gif','images/contacty.gif','images/linksy.gif','images/downloady.gif'
..odd, but not necessarily ARG-ish, right?)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Anyway, below the links on the left there are 2 lines, which are actually links. The one on the left doesn't seem interesting, but the one on the right leads you to http://www.sente.co.uk/art/art.htm
which seems to be part of a web ring...
...I think this indicates this is an off track, unless someone finds anything interesting with the ring itself?

Finally, on that art page there is a link to http://fly.to/flying.objects/
I'm running Firefox and my trusty browser *BLOCKS* some pop-up when I get to that page... anyone brave enought o get there without a blocker?
The flying objects page itself seems odd to me,
*especially* since it mentions waiting for late december....
...but it also has an old date (Aug 2002...) so I don't know...
..anyone finds any more possible clues on this trail?

I braved the treacherous path of clicking "allow popups" and all that came up were popups from tripod and images.v3.com.

THe webring is just an artists' ring.

<first post> in firefox you can just make it display that one popup btw - click on the beige bar and select the "display ..." options at the bottom. Afaik they're one-shot displays.

right, now off to the introductions thread. Very Happy
