errr -- i know i'm slow -- but i didnt understand that
i think the earlier point was that its the fault of the long wait makes peeps try to dig deep into domain names etc -- a way of filling time
forgive me if i misread the post i was confused

yah i hit on this a while ago with whois.sc, but i do suspect is pre-emptive registrations by 3rd parties....
As some like perplexcityradio.com are registered a month after the main one, if u look ppc.com was the only one registered first, the rest were done a week later.

THis is possible; we'll have to wait and see.

This is my first post dealing with this game. I just have to say that I'm just happy, that even though I'm just now joining, the websites are listed as "coming soon." Whew, I'm not jumping in the middle of some almost finished game or something. Yay!

Although it's most likely that these domains are registered to prevent out of game usage, I would favour that many of them are still registered for misuse.
Afterall Perplexcity has been running for many months now, I like many only became aware of it through the firebox catalogue.
Assuming many others like me joined at the same time and started searching everylast name as a website, there are bound to have been plenty of people watching.
I wonder what the PM's think about out of game sites using ingame names?
Afterall it makes us work even harder with no extra effort on there part.
When all is finished it would be interesting to get these views from the PMs.

Actually I honestly suggest we forget those "coming soon" websites exist altogether. If they are in fact connected to this game, mayhap the PMs want us to solve some puzzle in order to find those websites. Going to whois.sc might be cheating a bit.

yeah, i thought that too. but then again, why are these domain names so 'obvious'? so like anyone, who is just a bit curious, could type "perplexcityacademy.com" in the browser, and then, there you go! [just as i did, but decided to wait. ]. but i can imagine, that the PM-s are pissed off a bit because we found them... well, maybe we should just forget the whole thing or something.
anyway, it's still possible, that they are misguides. or some of them.

If we weren't supposed to find them yet, I think they would have been hidden better or something. I think if a puzzle is supposed to lead us to them, there won't be anything there to find until we solve the puzzle.

That's true. And you'd think these PMs would know about whois.sc
All I suggest is to not keep checking on those sites to see if they're up and running. Knowing that they exist (well, they're still in the womb) is okay. And I doubt there's many party poopers here who will constantly refresh the sites to see if they're up.

I don't think so - but it's your opinion!
So all good but remember the post-sign up screen on the trailhead at all times
