I just realised that the Academy logo is in the bottom right corner of the postcard but the current scan we have isn't high-res enough to read all the names.

It would be nice to have a higher res version because all the other pictures of the logo don't show all the names.

Also, is the only clue we haven't solved the group of numbers?

I can't wait till the game starts.
Not long now....

The names was done by Timair, i've updated the wiki with the names:

Not been here for a week, and just spent 3 hours reading everything ive missed! Anyway has anybody thought that this card may be some sort of encryption key to a code we may have to decypher in the future?
24 digit numbers are a standard for encryption, used to encrypt email, radio phones, bluetooth devices etc etc... And the whole Hello world thing.... Standard text for decyphering?.... possible... maybe...

But that doesn't give us anything to do now Smile

May I please take a look? I'm studying computer science in college and would love to see this.

Yeah, could you pass it to me as well?
I might port it to C# in the week-end Smile
or make a web portal for it.

Thanks,

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned trying the digits in a grid...
Code:
-- 12x2 --
221545484848
465100503215

-- 8x3 --
22154548
48484651
00503215

-- 6x4 --
221545
484848
465100
503215

-- 4x6 --
2215
4548
4848
4651
0050
3215

-- 3x8 --
221
545
484
848
465
100
503
215

-- 2x12 --
22
15
45
48
48
48
46
51
00
50
32
15

I do not see anything obvious going down the columns or across diagonals. If you wanted to get really wacky, you could attempt to visualize the digits in a cube.

Regarding my previous post:

I have been contaced with upload space! Woopie!

EXE file: http://www.incognitus.net/files/uploads/Solitaire.zip

Source (for people who want to look at it, or just suspectful people - if thats even a word): http://www.incognitus.net/files/uploads/SolitaireSRC.zip

Also, to anyone who got an email from me regarding this, its before I found this upload space, so feel free to ignore the email.

And Nik, Successful is written with two C's, and capitalize the U in upload.

Yo, forum lurker signing in. (I'm active in the IRC chan)

People previously mentioned the Solitare Cipher, so I went and implemented it for us in a nifty little program.

You put in a key, or no key, and it'll splurt out numbers and do some modulus arithmetic with the evil number.

If anyone wants the source code (in C++), just ask.

Here it is:
(bleh, no upload space. I'll PM/Email anyone who wants it, or feel free to give me FTP space for it)

Oh, and I tried the middle academy text, helloworld and no-key, and none of them gave any real meaning. The key accepts a single line, and any spaces/non-letters are ignored.

I made one for VirtuCube in Java. There's also an applet version of my program hosted by Ciarin_H here

Anyone interested in the source, drop me a pm.

Have tried ordering cubes from Firebox with permutations of the number hoping it may be Adrians' Mastercard, but to no avail.

Interesing on the 24bit encryption tho - plagiarism aside, anyone read Dan Browns' Digital Fortress recently? That has some themes such as changing the world, puzzles etc, and could be said to be linked to the Da Vinci code which is currently being filmed............

Well there's 24 of them so you could have 4 numbers on each face of a cube.

Which numbers go on which face I don't know - maybe the maze has somethign to do with that!
