Just a thought mods - at 45 pages (oops, I made it 46) and flying wildly OT at the drop of a hat, and with discussion of topics also being discussed in other threads and forums, and the actual UPDATE event in the thread title being months ago, this strikes me as a thread that has outlived its usefulness...

[SPEC] Location - Ankara, Turkey

I created this thread because I think the city in the images is not London or Liverpool, which seem to be the dominant choice in speculation.

Is there firm evidence to suggest that it is indeed Liverpool, or London? What about Ankara, Turkey? The passport was Turkish if I remember correctly (visa?)

This looks like the postcard building

The buildings in our picture have noticeably smaller rooftops than a regular skyscraper. The following images very much resemble the skyline in the photo (#1 of 6) in the pp7.jpg file.

Notice the building tops and their placement. Skyline

Closeup of needle building and another rooftop.

This one really shows off the multiple building with their rooftops - they just look so similar!

Turkey is an ancient crossroads. Multiple cultures have met, traded and traversed the region for thousands of years. There is also an Old Town in Ankara, though I realize many older cities will have such a section of town with htat very name.

Anyway, this thread is labeled speculation for a reason!

Edit: Merged into appropriate thread. - Wishi-san

Firstly... the landscape seems far too hilly and on top of that the person who suggested that it was Liverpool lives there and says it is most likely a shot from somewhere in Everton. I still don't think we have conformation of that, but it doesn't look like Turkey to me.
