hmmm
I can tell you CSI Crime Site Investigation, which is a TV series.
No clue about the infinite magnifier since I don't watch CSI

Note to self: *do* this at work, when the boss is around...might get a raise

A CSI stylee infinte magnifier is an amazing contraption used frequently in the multitude of CSI shows and clones which allow the invetigators to infinately zoom in on anything without resolution loss. Point it at the sky in the right spot and you could see Pluto, its that amazing!

The Sente signature looks quite similar to the word "London" from the £50 Banknote in the 6 segment image

Composite Here's a composite I did of the signature from the letter and the signature from the postcard. Reduced the opacity on one and rotated it to match. I left an offset so that you can see that there are two images, but it's almost a pefect match. This doesn't help any, but it was fun to do.

Thats an interesting pen, if it is the pen that changes colour during writing. Since the change in hue is the same for both signatures.
Anyone ever seen one of these for sale?

I think it might be a way of verifying that whatever is signed that way is in-game. It's gotta be pretty hard to fake something like that. I know in ILB someone tried to fake a puzzle by posting it on the side of a phone that one of the players frequented.

<OT>Pah! That's nothing. In one of the first episodes of the latest series of Spooks on the BBC they had a satellite picture of the back of someone's head and then used a magic computer to figure out from the shape exactly what the front of his head looked like! That beats turning pixelated noise into clear images any day in my book

the 2 sigs fade into red at almost the exact point and the sigs look a little to similer to me, try writing your signature 5-6 times an a row (hurredly, as sente did as he wrote the postcard) and see if its almost exactly the same...wasnt for me but anywase back on track i belive that the black red fade is computer generated, anyone know what number that colour red is in HTML anywase? might help
