It's been in production now for a year, so hopefully a good amount of time. Just enough to weave a good story, have some good stumping puzzles and enough character depth for me to care, that's all I want. I don't even care what they're pitching at this point.

 		At the current rate of gameplay, I'm guessing that we should pretty much have this thing wrapped up by the middle of August, 2035. Rolling Eyes

 		Another theory...
I'm brand spankin' new here, but I have a theory, and possibly one you already have.... sort of a spoiler, but not concerning the game per se.

I believe this is a game promoting War of the Worlds this summer. A Spielberg project. The main reasoning behind this though, is the rumor that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the aliens in the movie are from an alternate dimensional Earth, hence the tag line "They're already here" on the posters
. Just a thought

Oi...I was hoping the film would stick more closely to the original story (and I was hopeful, because of the trailer narration and the vines on one of the posters). So to be honest, I hope this spec is wrong. Wink Tripods before cubes!

You do have a good point, though. It would make a lot of sense.

 		I'm not sure how much stock I'd put into that rumor, just because Sente and his cohorts don't seem like much the standard "aliens" to me, nor aggressive. If the movie was called "Study of Worlds," I'd be more inclined to agree.

 		Spec started here, based on the Douglas Adams reference in the newest newspaper ad, could point to a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie tie-in.

 		The Case for Apple

    1) The quote "change the world", used in the initial flash was from Steve Jobs (Apple) to John Sculley (Pepsi) in 1984.
    2) Apple computers used to load with a splash screen which said "Hello World".
    3) The initial flash featured a Mac Computer.
    4) Apple once made the G4 Cube. (edit: possible re-release?)
    5) Microsoft were behind ILB, a huge success, could Apple be trying their own?
    6) Adrian and co. mentioned an "Unusual Client". Apple could be considered unusual and often innovative (see next point).
    7) Given the success of the iPod, another 'unusual' venture may well be in the works for Apple. Additionally, iPod's success has led to doubling of share value. They are rolling in it.
    8) Finally, the long and drawn out start of PS, could be accounted for through product development ties.

So there you have it, more than just coincidence, surely?

 		I don't think this is "surely" more than a coincidence. We only have three direct connections between PPC and Apple. Even these connections don't suggest a partnership between the two. In fact, I would go so far as to say that these are surely just coincidences.

Of course, I could be wrong, Apple and PPC could be in cahoots. *eyeshift*

 		I don't know if the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie has ties to Apple, but the movie is due out April 29th. That seems a little soon for any sort of ties to Perplex City.

 		People really need to stop Specing that this is somehow tied with the Hitchhikers Guide movie or Douglas Adams in anyway. We'd have seen much more subtle and witty humor by now. Any DNA connection is out of the question if you ask me.

I wouldn't rule out Apple... But I'm not going to jump on that bandwagon either.
