Don't worry. Looking at those anagrams it sure is significant. Nice job.

why protectors?

I apologise for the lengths that I have gone to in order to protect myself, but you

Be advised, ibidem is not entirely sufficient as a password, for it leads to as much
error as truth (although mistakes can be extremely revealing).

There is another cache password that should be easy for any of my old friends and
Lepidoptera lovers to work out.

Defiantly,

Jon Harker

Mutatis mutandis

this is my mail -- Lepidoptera lovers he said... not protectors

John calling?

Jon wrote that he would CALL (my emphasis) his supporters at dawn at the beginning of next month. Now I'm guessing (hoping Very Happy ) that he's not gonna call on the 1st as all decent people are in bed with a hangover, or still partying Laughing

However what I find distinctive is that he will call? means using a telephone (I'm not a native english speaker, but if he was planning to use E-mail or an update in the cache it should've been contact or call ON his supporters right?).

So I installed skype (a popular VOIP program apperently) and invited him to call me, I send the following message thru skype to jonSPLAThewalksamongus.com:

"Jon, you said you would CALL your supporters at dawn the first of next month (new year's day). Here's my skype account.

Hang in there! we're doing our best to help"

I was quoting from memory at the time and thought he wrote the first of the month.

I've also tried finding Jon on Skype, but so far to no avail...

This may be a complete red herring, but thought I'd let you know what I'm up to.

On the friendsunited site, you can send a voice message. Maybe that's what Jon meant by giving a call?

Good thinking, we should at least check it.

Atheneum is also a building in Leuven where you can learn about music, learn to play instruments, and in a band, etc... It's also a small theater! Don't know if it would be of any help, but this is inline with my thought/speculation that jon is hiding in Leuven, the big beer city and founder of SA

spent ages tonight checking through the old cache for spelling mistakes i cant be bothered to write down all the mistakes but here are all the letter discrepancies i have found - if have time might write down mistakes later

LULETMHOETHLONACLHEHOOEA

wondered if you ever did get the time to write down all the mistakes or if anyone else has

I do think Sminky is on to something here, particularly in light of Jon's words " I really hope that my allies understand the difference that I've
made"

apart from the date differences and the new link, the other "differences" may also be very pertinent

i don't mean any disrespect to sminky, but I just wondered if anyone had taken the time and trouble to verify the spelling mistake differences so that we are working with the correct letters in case these are relevant to an anagram etc

PS .. v soz if this has already been covered - i keep expecting to be slapped on the head with a big fish anytime Smile

Further to my last post, just wondered if it was possible for the diary entries on the Wiki site to "reflect " the spelling mistakes so we can see where they occur, in case the entries they appear in are relevant somehow

.. would also like to thank whoever put all the diary entry info onto the Wiki site - before that I kept flicking to & fro from the "ibidem" and "confer" caches all the time - did me head in...

definitley a BIG thanks to the Wiki contributors

atheneum is also known in dutch and thus belgium.....

it is the higher education after you finish your lower grade school..

check: http://www.nvvw.nl/efamt/edusystem.html (atheneum you can place in "pre university study)

in holland and belgium we use different education then in the america or england...

we have
"basisschool" ~basic education till your 11/12 years old,

and then follows

"middelbare school"

middle school, to "prepare" for your specification study, but this is divided in different settings, based on intelligence (not exactly, but i hope you get the meaning) etc....

we have lower technical education (LTS, lower technical school, to prepare a technical profession, if you advance you have MTS middle technical school, and HTS higher technical school
, and we have MAVO (mediocre allround advanced eduction) for the "lower intelligence, thus for the ppl not learning fast, or for the "lessbrainsneeded" jobs...

then we divide in higher secondary schools..... for the more intelligent.

and for the even more intelligent we have "atheneum" and "gymnasium"
this is more scientific, teaching greek and latin.
ppl who get there (we have tests on the end of primary school, around the age of 11/12) get more advanced education, with higher stresslevels, and more stuff to learn.....

i dont know if this info is needed, but i wanted to post anyways, and i hope i have explained it a good (for all ya dutch and belgium players)

perhaps it is a way to show us we need to know our languages (latin refferals ingame )etc.....

[off topic]slight differences between dutch system and belgian one.
The word atheneum is only used for institution in the Dutch system.
There are some Belgian schools who's name contains atheneum, but I guess it's only historic[/off topic]
