I'm still chewing over bits and pieces that seem to point to things, but for which we've not found any use.
The BBC article suggests that favourite football teams are often used for passwords, and Jon then says that alphanumeric methods of password encryptions are preferable. I've tried combinations, something like ar5enal, but not had any luck.
Can anyone see any method in the examples Jon gives for developing alphanumeric passwords, that could then be transferred to encrypting ARSENAL?

arsenal it might be a combination of arsenal and 1587622319 (the receipt number)
taking a=1 etc
it fits for the first letter!!!
the rest comes out gobbledy gook
aehgfbbcai
22 could be v.
that would make it aehgfvcai, which still makes no sense.
arsenal translates too 11819514112, which doesn't work either.
i'll try playing round with the arsenal scores he linked too. something may come up

out of topic purely coincidence - too late, too much beer and too much googling
still fixated with 27/8 - don't ask how I ended up googling "nazca harker" which came up with this:- (Gawd knows where the nazca bit comes in)

PAGAN FESTIVITIES
Quote:
2/4 to 1/4 April Fool's Day
6/7 to 4/7 Independence Day
8/7 Bazookas link added to both caches
11/8 to 13/8 Friday Thirteenth
13/8 to 14/8 FR link added to BOTH caches
29/8 to 27/8 ?
23/10 to 31/10 Halloween
21/12 Winter solstice*
*The declination of the Sun on the winter solstice is known as the tropic of capricorn (-23° 27').
In relation to this - as we haven't heard anything from jon yet maybe we will hear from him on the next major festival as we did on the solstice previously. The next one is IMBOLC at the beginning of February or alternatively known as the feast of Brigid!!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/paganism/festivals/imbolc.shtml
I know he said the beginining of next month but he has been quite spurious about dates so far.

also also, still according to religioustolerance.org, the 1st of may (quoted as a day of recent sightings in the hwau site) is the day of "Climax" and "initiation night" in the satanic calendar.
don't know if it's a clue or not.

Hello all,
I have been following this for weeks now and i was thining along the same vein as above in relation to satanic holidays. they all seem to fall in line except the 27th of august. Could this be Jon's birthday? Or maybe it's because its a Friday? I found this on
http://www.religioustolerance.org/ra_date.htm I filled in the appropriate dates for 2004
Movable Ritual Days
Easter Weekend
Easter Sunday 11/4
Good Friday 9/4
US Thanksgiving 11/4
Ash Wednesday 24/2 (too early)
Ascension 20/5
Pentecost 30/5
Corpus Christi 10/6
1st Sun. of Advent 11/28
Periodic Meetings
Every 2nd Saturday at 11 PM
Every Friday night
Every 3rd Thursday
At full moons
On the Satanist's birthday - An actual Satanic day
Also found on http://www.heart7.net/date/srac.html that New Moons were supposed meeting times as well.
another possibility for 27/8 is Fundus Mundi
Satanist: Fundus Mundi seems to be a Greek/Roman mixture of Lammas and Halloween. It means "bottom of the world," or underworld, in Latin. It's a time of transition, when the gates of the underworld open for a few days, and hence has been used as a justification for ritual trials of endurance.
Interestingly 24/8 is the start date of Fundus Mundi., and is also a siting date. I noticed that htere are lots of dates corresponding between events in the cache and Satanic ritual dates.

Hi Neffarious, welcome aboard
I was thinking about the fundus Mundi too. starts 24/8 and ends 27/8 as you say, and in the Confer cache there are 2 consecutive entries of 24/8 and 27/8 - are we supposed to attach any relevance to the 2 missing dates - 25/8 and 26/8?
as with spelling discrepancies, perhaps the date changes don't matter either but if so, why does jon say he hopes we understand the differences he's made
I do hope we don't have to "wait" for a "date" before we can proceed any further in the game (like waiting for the 21/12 before the Cache was updated so we could discover the Confer password) - if that's the case what was the point of updating it? I'm new to ARGS but am also a rather impatient bod - would hate to think that the PM's are just sitting back watching us speculating over nothing when we could be doing something else while there is nothing for us to do
..her's hoping someone makes sense of the differences and that the PM's have given us a puzzle we can solve NOW; ourselves without having to wait for them to post the clues on a future date

re the password for the updated cache "Confer"
does anyone have any ideas as to whether there is any significance in this word?
"Ibidem" means "in the same place" - is this because the new Cache is in the same place as the old one?!

Latin term meaning things being changed which are to be changed. This phrase and the use of it may best be explained by an example. A proprietor of an estate fues his lands, and the feu contracts all contain the same general clauses, the same obligations on the feuars and confer the same rights. In such a case two of the feu charters are said to be the same mutatis mutandis, that is, they are the same, if (or when) the name of the disponee, the particular description of the lands feued, and other such-like particulars which are peculiar to each, are changed.
Seems that its something to do with law.

Actually he states that he hopes his allies understand the difference he made. I think this refers to the entry on the 8th of july as this is the only entry that has been added besides the one of december.
On the 7th of july Jon went to see the Bazookas. In the review we can read something about "If the weather stays fine". Maybe this has something to do with the weather forecast on H*? Remember Jon's computer in the hiding room, the H* site was open on this page. It's also showing the webcam.
Now this is something I thought of, in a previous post I mentioned webcam picture #4. This is not the same crossroads as in the other pictures. In his Cache Jon mentiones The Ninth Gate. In this film one of the main characters collects the drawings of Lucifer to open the Ninth Gate. But one picture is falsified. Only with the right picture, you are able to open the Ninth Gate.
This is as far as my theorie goes, don't know if we are supposed to search for the right webcam picture or if we should investigate webcam pict. #4.
