Practice your Puzzling!

Hey all,

I'm hours away from diving into this year's MIT Mystery Hunt, a weekend long, around the clock, team-based puzzle solving adventure. While I don't know what our puzzles are this year, I thought I'd post a link to the hunt from last year. Keep in mind that these puzzles, as a whole, generally took about three days to solve, by teams of 20-30 people working around the clock. It should keep you busy.

The start can be found here

The Hunt is themed as a search for treasure--the real ultimate goal is to find "the coin", hidden somewhere around MIT.

For those who played ILB, I think you're fully capable of solving these puzzles, but they are going to be more difficult than what you faced in that ARG. Team work is helpful, and the "flavor-text" at the beginning of each puzzle will supply hint(s). Good luck!

Yeah, I realized that after posting. Last year's hunt was problematic, and teams were given hints to get things moving. This year's was much better, though some of the puzzles stumped a great number of people. For puzzles and solutions:

I also found out there were teams comprised entirely of non-MIT folks, so if there were interest, it might be possible to put together a team of ARGers for a future hunt. (My team had a few remote solvers too, who communicated by IM and e-mail).
