I'm assuming by 50 you mean 49, right?

Here's a few I have...

American Gladiators (No, it doesn't fit, so I dropped the space, the n, and the last s)-Slayer
Weapons: ALL brute shots
no overshield
no radar
no camo
no vehicles
team game, first to 50 wins. Ideal for smaller maps like Midship or Beaver Creek

Wake Up Dead-Slayer
Time Limit: one hour
point limit: 15
radar on, starting guns default and brute shot, weapons on map, human set
Death Point Loss: ON
No vehicles

Unfathomable-Territories
first to 2 rounds won
score to win: 3 minutes
round limit-15 minutes
rounds reset map-off
contest time: 3 seconds
control time: 5 seconds
2 territories
vehicles respawn-half as often, secondary and heavy vehicles are both turned off
Starting guns: SMG and Sentinel Beam, No Sniping set, respawn is double time

If you note, my game names have no basis with the actual game.

Marathon:

Basic Slayer, score to win: unlimited.

Everyone has 99 Lives.

Change the secondary weapon to something appropriate to speed things up.

Brute Shots are perfect.

Team Marathon

Same as above, with Teams. Force even teams is needed.

Closing the game is better, as a late addition with 99 fresh lives is brutal.

If it takes too long, lower the Lives to 50, or perhaps 77.

That is definitely going on the playlist for the next LAN!

WARNING:

The amount of Lives you can assign goes from 1-9 and then skips to 99.

So Marathon must be played with 99 lives.

Hey here's a gametype we heard about recently. I am not sure if anyone's played it yet though so if you have please comment.

Braveheart
# Rounds: 3(any could be used)
#lives per round:1
Map: coagulation
Rules: ctf\assault for team spawning.
Weapons:Bruteshots only
Weapons on map:none
Grenades:none
Grenades on map:none
Vehicles:none
Shields:none
Damage resistance: Not sure but On might make for more interesting games.

The idea as I remember it was for each team to gather around their base and fire into the middle of the map while charging to that area. Then once there take out any remaining enemies with melee attacks.

It's time for yet another Zombie Variant....

Without further adu, I give you... ZOMBIE BALLS!
Odd ball
# of Balls: 3
Shields: None
Primary Weapon: Shotgun
Secondary Weapon: Sword
Motion Sensor: No
Damage Resistance: No
Vehicles: Warthogs
Turrets: Machine gun
Grenades: No
Weapons on map: none
Weapons respawn: never
Time to win:7 mins (Sum Scoring)
Time limit: none
Maps: Headlong & Zanzibar
Ball Carrier can ride/drive in vehicles
Ball Indicator: OFF
Ball Carrier Attributes: Massive damage with the ball, Fast with ball

Regular Zombie Rules with the following EXCEPTIONS:
Zombies can not pick up the ball
If a human has the ball and a zombie kills the human then the human DOES NOT switch to the Zombie team. They stay human.
If a human has the ball and kills a Zombie, the zombie switches back to being a human.
Basically consider the skull(ball) to be the cure and as long as a human holds it, then they are immune to being a Zombie and they can convert Zombies back into humans.

Win conditions: Humans - survive until the human team has 7 minutes OR cure all the Zombies.
Zombies - Kill all the humans.

Interesting. Have you tried it, yet?

The simplest strategy for the zombies has to be guarding the balls. The zombies strike down a human ball carrier (if necessary), then stand over the ball as if it was a territory. Other zombies patrol the area and strike down humans as they go for the ball.

The humans only really need one ball. They can then guard the carrier by any means necessary. Ideally, the ball carrier(s) should just camp somewhere hard to reach, like the top of the fan on Zanzibar.

I have created the game type but I have not tested it out yet.

While the humans only really need one ball, it is in their best interest to have all three as the time would accumlate faster (Sum of team), And they would have 3 people immune to becoming Zombies. If 7 minutes proves to be too short then the time limit could always be raised. Since the Ball indicator is off, both the humans and the zombies will have to search for the ball/ball carriers.

Anyone interested in testing the game type out, look for me online tonight around 8:00 EST.

because this is the reverse of regular zombies, (humans curing zombies rather than zombies infectiong humans) will the start conditions be 1 human and n-1 zombies?

No. It will still be 1 Zombie and n-1 Humans. It's important that the zombie kill as many humans as possible as quickly as possible to limit the number of human ball carriers or ball carrier defenders.

I think if it were reverse zombies the lone human wouldn't have a chance, and the zombies would over take the human before they got the ball, or kill them with the ball and then kill them when they respawn.

Edit: had a second thought and added the second paragraph.

It sounds interesting, if a little imbalanced. Maybe have only 1 or 2 skulls, and start with 3 or 4 zombies.

How about a 3:1 human to zombie ratio (with a min of 3 zombies). This counters the 3 immune humans and makes things a little more spicier for everyone by providing more targets.

BTW: I can see this turn into a "tug of war" game type by removing the accumulating time.

i'm with you, i don't see how a lone zombie stands a chance of stopping the humans from getting the ball, generally "Patient Zero" has to die a few times before infecting the first human. 3:1 seems fair though

I was unable to test the game type last night as there were not enough people online while I was playing (between 8-9:30 EST). I'll try again this weekend... probably on Sunday afternoon.

Edit: Added EST
