nice pics colin - did you all meet up at the scene and identify youselves as operatives? or did you know each other before hand?

We all meet at the scene, and knew each other by our 'operative identifiers'

They've done some advertising in Melbourne. Wouldn't call it "intensive" though.
Anyway, like I asked earlier: are there ever any major events in the US? I live in Fort Worth, Texas and was hoping I might get to do some of the cooler stuff rather than busywork.

I'm not too far from you, I'm an Abilene operative. Just recieved my first mission today.

Oh, you'll get *missions* definitely. But as for "major events" or "cooler stuff", it might take a while. They'd have to build up a number of operatives in that town/area first, before thsey could plot a mass-operative action.

Woo Hoo! It's about time I got a mission from them! Seems interesting. Oh!! By the way, I'm U.S. based so it will probably be YEARS till there is something very interactive here.

Grrrr!! How annoying is this, they asked me to provide details of my availability on a certain day, and Im going to be on holiday. Evil or Very Mad Im looking forward to the holiday, but man why did they have to choose that day! lol

You're the first non-Melbournite to be asked about "specific availability" that I know of, congratulations! (shame you aren't actually available that day though!)

Meanwhile, I got my next task, and it's a "training exercise" rather than a mission. Interesting, but a challenge at this stage, I'm not sure how to achieve it yet. I'm sure i'll think of something.

Tell me about it, Rolling Eyes so what does "an availibility check" usually premept? Do you think they will change the date or am i doomed not to enter fully into the game? I did reply to them asking for the info but probably wont be told much.

Availability checks are, from what we know so far, the first hints that a Mass Operative Action (MOA) is being planned in your area. If you can't make it, you will miss out on the chance to meet other Cam agents, but you will certainly still be an operative and receive your other missions normally. You're lucky, I'm in Australia and have not seen an MOA yet. I'd even be willing to travel to Sydney for one (hint hint, you ears on the walls).

I have the feeling that VERY FEW operatives actually post outside of their own blogs.

Oh... BTW, I'm SO jeaulous! Evil or Very Mad I'll be 90 before there are enough agents in my area to have a MAO or MOA or whatever it is.
