Since there is no application link up I emailed them directly and they sent me back an email saying they were no longer accepting applications at the moment.

Active

Yes, Neurocam is still active. Operatives in good standing are still receiving fairly regular assignments and the unveiling continues.

If you are interested in joining, I would suggest periodically checking neurocam.com as they are sure to reopen submissions at some point.

Can anyone help me figure out what this cipher says...

I was sent this by a suspected agent of T.I.T.A.N.

KQYWBMWMSILLMYKMXYKZGISC

The cipher key is supposed to embeded in a strange movie that is linked to on Toxick Bloging.

I am pretty proud of capturing this FNORD.

Fnord is a reference to Steve Jackson's GURPS (generic universal role playing) - Fnord covers anything you are not cleared for.
The "short" movie takes far too long to Down Load even at work with high speed DSL. It's an Asian (chinese? there is a chinese dragon) show so, you might need someone to translate.

fnord

actually thats not quite right
FNORD is a referance to R.A. Wilson and Robet Shaws Illiuminatus Trilogy.

the refereance is to a supposed psych conditioning that we all went thru as children, where we were hypnotised by watching a spinning disk, while beining told that " if you cant see the fnords, they wont eat you".
then the mass media czars would place the word "fnord" in text when ever they wanted to cause a sence of panic in the reader....

btw.....awesome series....

i emailed them about a week ago about how i could become a member, and tonight i just recieved word. strange though...this isn't your typical puzzle -> solve situation. it requires a video camera, and enough money to send something to AUS. the fact that they told me i get 1ne chance to pull this off has thoroughly intrigued me. they definitely have my attention.

the website www.neurocam.com is online now, and is updating everyday, looks like the previous assignments are being posted, slowly, one by one. so far theres operatives reports on "the initial questions and perception" and "the magus" assignments Smile. Also included, it seems are images that we sent in too.

The Front Page has a movie which is quite good Smile

/me wonders just how embarrassing his write ups will prove to be!

---
for the record, i've also heard of recent newcomers getting new assigments

OK, I've known about Neurocam since I've known about ARGs (I think), but I've never gotten in on it, as it seemed like it was always halfway done. On a whim though, I checked out the thread, and it looks like people are just signing up? Or am I crazy? Is it too late to join in?

EDIT: I have since received reply, basically telling me that if I want to apply, just ask. So I asked.

Sure, sign up... if you want to trust these maniacs with your real mailing address...

Who's to say another operative's mission won't be to show up at a certain address and spy on its inhabitants?
