Another interesting addition to Neurocam's front page:

The more persistence an X04 protocol tries to have; the longer it is set up to last; the greater number (and broader variety) of people it tries to attract; and in general the more immersive it sets out to be, then the more breadth and depth of human experience it needs to support to be successful for more than say, 12-24 months. If you try to create a deeply immersive, broadly appealing, long-lasting experience that does not adequately provide for human tendencies such as violence, acquisition, justice, family, community, exploration, etc (and I would contend we are nowhere close to doing this), you will see two results: first, individuals in the population will begin to display a wide range of fairly predictable socially pathological behaviors (including general malaise, complaining, excessive bullying, harassment, territoriality, inappropriate aggression, and open rebellion against those who run the protocol); and second, people will eventually vote with their feet, but only after having passionately cast a pox on both your houses. In essence, if you set people up for an experience they deeply crave (and mostly cannot find in real life) and then don't deliver, they will become like spurned lovers--some become sullen and aggressive or neurotic, and eventually almost all leave.

Seems to be working just fine for me. I bookmarked the actual link though, its entirely possible there are problems with the site redirect Yellow One set up for the forum. I'll give that a try and if its not working drop a line with someone there to let them know there's a problem.

Neurocam and Y1 are different entities, different bodies.

neurocam, yellow 1, fiat nox, nautonier blah blah, all connected "entities" are nothing more than power tripping self proclaimed "artists" that are bent on controlling people.

there is no super mystery to it, these are just everyday people bored out of their minds, trying to feel like they are in the movies/books they read.

i know from personal experience, i was a part of neurocam and actually told at one point to remove the stuff on here about NCI, and numerous blogs, i followed the rabbit hole to the very end and actually helped dig it deeper.

i, like all of you, started by emailing off, got the perception test, sent in my results, nothing happened for awhile, so as I live in melbourne, organised a meeting with robin hely, i scared/shocked him a bit with the stuff i had dug up on my own, i presented my own ideas for operations and he put me in a leading role next to him. I've seen their backend shit, I've been the mind behind a few induction techniques here in the city, it got boring, lame and uninspiring -- most of all dissapointing that its just some glorified artist thats really nothing more than another poor uni lecturer.

email me at hexnoirSPLATnull.net if you want to talk more about this.

The Y1 forums are just a medium used for the potential applicants to interact with the agents of Y1. They get to see exactly what you're made of before they accept you. Smart move on their part.

What is the connection between Y1 and neurocam? You can still sign up for Neurocam, although the acceptance letter is a little different ("My real name is Rob Hely, and I began this project in 1999," etc.), so is Y1 trying to be a bit more "real?" What happens when you sign up?

You can't just "sign-up" for Y1. It's more of a job. You fill out an application filled with questions that make no sense to you at the time. You can join the forums at http://forum.yellow-1.org/. You can speak with active members, prospective applicants, or others like yourself. To answer your question though: nothing "happens" when you sign-up/apply besides a few e-mails. Once you get inside though, is a different story.

Actually it says males 16-32. Now they have added a few more requirements as well. Response times probably vary but shouldn't be too long if they are interested it seems.
