As I understand it, Bungie is working on another game next, THEN Halo 3, unless they have enough manpower to do both projects at once. Of course, it looks as though the latter is the case, which is fine by me.

That couldn't be any less acurately phrased. If you even glance at their site, it's painfully obvious that they care a great deal about Halo. And we only have hints and vague references that suggest a new project. Furthermore:

The Marathon games were great. All of them except the second one (there were three) were for Mac-only, however, so many people didn't get to play them. The past couple years, Bungie's released the source code for Marathon 2 and some guys ported the first one (and subsequently the third one) over to the PC with that engine.

Bungie used to sell those games in their old store, but when they moved they stopped selling them, so you may be out of luck trying to buy them new anymore. They were really damn fun, though.
