QUESTION: Empty Threats There is something which strikes me as odd on the Empty Threats schedule page. Why are these guys interested in celebrating Einstein's birthday and why don't they at least know when he was born? April 18th was the date of Einstein's death, not his birth. I also wonder if there is any significance in the fact that he died in Princeton, NJ.
I have a tendency to read too much into these sort of things, but this one just seems too out of place to be a casual mistake.
Also, can one of our html experts explain to me why Live Music looks different when I select the text on the home page?

"Live Music"...one night only! The reason that "Live Music" looks different when highlighted is because it is yellow text. When you select text, Windows uses a "reverse video" effect which in most cases shows up as white text on a blue background. There are a couple of text colors, however, that don't always fit in with that. For some reason (and I can't remember it right now) the reverse video text color for yellow is blue. Since blue text on a blue background wouldn't work very well, when yellow text is highlighted Windows automagically converts the background color to white so that the blue reverse video text is visible.

There used to be a bar in Ong's Hat where all the scientists hung out, maybe this is it's reincarnation. Also maybe they are celebrating Einstiens's move to another universe and he didn't really die. Einstein did alot of theory on time and space. There is a little paperback book on these theories in "snapshot" form. I can't think of the title, maybe Einsteins Deams, but it has a bronze and black cover. Actually quite fitting for this story.

EINSTEIN'S Dreams Quote from the book review (Aglaura celebrates his death??? something really really weird there - like mentioned above!) What IS the town hiding???
>>>>>rather it is a series of short chapters (dreams) that describe in fascinating detail alternate realities where our normal sense of time and physical realities are warped. <<<<<<<<
So, we have the dream answer to the riddle, we have them celebrating his death. This has gotta go somewhere (can't believe it's a red herring).
Having said that, we need to help Dale find "the wish giver". Wishes are made in more places than Ong's Hat/Aglaura. Any ideas where "the wish" has gone to now using what we know to date? Should we be looking for links to something somewhere in another state/area where another bizarre "accident" occurred? And how would we find it using what we know now? The mental health facility has more than one location so what about trying to find the other locations and googling? to see if anything turns up about accidents/ someone coming into unexpected money etc.... in one of the other locations. Maybe, Dale was "put there" to help because the town is trying to help him! .... put there so he could move around to the other locations to "chase the wish". Just some thoughts (even if totally off-base ).

Just a reminder, Empty Threats is in Hackensack, NJ. Not Aglaura.

yes, but the mention of a bar/resteraunt celebrationg Einstien brings to mind the bar that was in Ong's Hat where all the Princetin scientists went while working on things like the Philly project.
If for nothing else they are reiterating (sp?) how we have to think.
Fran, I am not sure yest f we are to look beyong NJ and NY. I mentioned at CD that I saw a movie with the song Ash Grove. I had thought previously that it was a druid connection but maybe it's just about the song. I thought that maybe the Druids were lemurian visiters and that is what Digitalis might be.
<note> Druids went to the secret groves to perform magick and honor the spirit that lived in the tree at the heart of the grove.
I do know that Ash trees were very big for the Vikings. Ash is one of the hardest woods. I am not sure if Druids were more partial to oak groves ove ash.

You've mentioned this twice now without telling us where this info came from. It seems odd that Princeton folks would travel all the way from Princeton to Ong's Hat to hang out at a bar. Ong's Hat (Aglaura) is about an hour away from Princeton. If this is part of the Philly Exp. mythos, that's cool, but it would be good to have a link that talks about that and maybe provides the name of the bar.

Another oddity on their calendar. An Italian restaurant that celebrates St Patrick's day, but not St. Joseph's day? This is really minestra di San Giuse

Sorry I forgot to sorce that for you.
" For some bizarre reason, dissident Princeton University physicists used Ong's Hat as a return address for anonymous papers they wrote that went far beyond the accepted academic physics of the day. This was a subtle in-joke with those who populated the Institute for Advanced Study, the think-tank that was used to hatch the Philadelphia Experiment.
The Ong's Hat Rod and Gun Club, now housed by the Anapa Bar and Grill, was once the retreat for those scientists who populated the IAS from the 1930's right on through the 1960's. The IAS at Princeton was a tightly regulated group watched over by a security minded government, but at Ong's Hat, they could shoot the breeze with their fellow scientists and let their hair down.
When you put such great minds together, a synergy takes place and things begin to happen. Here, you had the elite physicists of the world contemplating the umbilical chord of the universe and what makes things tick. It is no wonder that remarkable things began to occur, through the osmosis factor alone. One of the more notable duties of the Ong's Hat crowd was to decipher the Nazi's Enigma machine. "
