1: Brigid IS indeed Jon's sister, only Jon doesnt remember her because he sold his childhood memories. (Don't ask me why she's not in the picture I dont have a clue), she is truly concerned about Jon's whereabouts and is determined to find him, accepting help from whomever she can; including S&S, not knowing that they are actually trying to find him for completely different reasons.
I discussed this yesterday with someone, but if she is his sister and he did sell his childhood memories then his parents shouldn't be on the picture either.
Could it be that Brigid is not in the picture because she took it

As I said before: I can't make sense of the picture, need to think about that a bit more I guess

I don't think the photo has been doctored by S+S - I think it's genuine. Jon sold his childhood memories only recently, and the hidingroom was finished beforehand- so he would have had his memories when he made it. Also, he writes in the Cache about his childhood christmases (with no mention of sister, by the way) so it doesn't seem that S+S have edited it to erase any reminders from his life. Just as an aside, if I was thinking evil I'd erase memories but leave lots of happy photos, etc. around just to drive home how many wonderful events he's forgotten!

It's a possibility, hey maybe the little boy in the picture is Brigid and Jon took the picture! Still wouldnt explain why she isnt in the "one happy family" remark
Anyway I messaged Brigid through E-bay let's see if that elicits some form of response, text of that message is a bit higher in this thread.

anyway we can find out the names of his parents?
coz they are killed, coz he visits their graves.....
why did they die, when and how??? S+S???
perhaps there is somekind of familytree on the internet.... like most common familynames.....
and why would he sell his childhood memories? only when you have a very traumatic childhood, i would sell the memories(like killing your parents for example by mistake, then i would try to forget, but that is a really crude thought! ).... or if you want to get something really, really bad.....
is he sacrificing himself to get rid of shuck? then why did he got scared, and fled for them..... doesnt seem normal to me, to give up the memories, and then not doing anything with it to make the sacrifice "worthwhile"
on friendfinder, this school he went to, does it really exist? isnt there a way to get info from them? perhaps they know his parents name, and maybe they know what happened to them!

Think virtual

I think it's important to realise what the Hiding Room is here. It's something virtual that Jon has created. It isn't a real room that we are peeking through a camera, everything in it is a virtual item that Jon has placed in the environment. Hence having to 'log on' to a journal.
So the picture could not be taken by his sister. It could be several other things, however. A picture of toal fabrication, for instance, or, a picture copied from a real one in his possession.

I have no clue. Having the actual shirt in front of me doesn't really help. It reminds me of either Boba Fett's tattoo or the head of an upside down ladybug - both of which are probably incorrect deductions.
If you're talking about the picture you posted there, methinks you are overthinking it. It's a heart with a peace sign imposed into it.

looks a bit like some metal wiring around a champagnecork.....
but it could be something else....what is it?

Yes, that's a camera, put there by the image hosting site that ebay uses. Nothing unusual there. Move along, nothing to see....

I just won an auction on one of brigid's "hewalksamongus" shirts, and paid for it .
However I send her a message thru ebay a couple of times (msg itself should be somewhere in this thread) but no response whatsoever. I made one last plea in my payment but I aint expacting nuffin ;-(
Seems like the puppetmasters of this game arent really interested in communicating with the players...

The image is definitely an inkblot have seen a lot of them durin a practical course in a psychologist's practice, but I'm not too sure, if it's from an official Rorschach- or Holtzman-Test (I tend to a Rorschach-Image).
Additional note: Most people see butterflies in Rorschach-images *g*
