[EMAIL] 21/12 New Email from S&S

Following my initial analysis of your assessment, it is my duty to inform you that you have not yet achieved an acceptable worth value. Until you reach such a level, we are unable to issue a contract and are thus unable to furnish you with any luxurious goods or services.
However, you are permitted to take the test as many times as you wish. Perhaps you should answer more honestly next time. Furthermore, you may be pleased to know that a charitable act may also increase your worth. If you wish to undertake such an act we advise you to visit http://www.helpmefindjon.com

Anybody still think Brigid is his sister?

I've gotten a 70 before. So, I don't think that would help

Assessment score I don't think it is possible to get enough. Think you'll have to get at least 100 (which is in a normal way not possible...)

Yeah um, i just got the rejection e-mail, even though i got a 80 on the test... Guessing its not possible... Although seriously, they're hardly gonna be able to actually follow through with the contract so i guess its just a bit of fun. Also, if you didn't know about the Jon page before doing it, it lets you know! Maybe thats the whole point of it.

Yeah, it's mentioned in other threads, particularly this one that the highest possible score is 80/50 so if Chibbon's soul isn't sellable I'm guessing none of us are gonna be pure enough to get in. That is, unless someone's actually got an email today from the D of A that said something along the lines of 'Okey dokey we'll take your soul. Yum yum yum. What silly baubles do you want to swap it for foolish mortal? etc. etc.'
Anyone?

my guess -
you have to get an 80 AND you have to help brigid find jon. 80 - 50 is the current max and a charitable act will boost your souls worth. think we have to do a solve on hmfj before we get 2 trade our soul for goodies

Actually my weeping young friend, you have (nolens volens) stumbled onto something here...
We're all assuming that our goal is to find Jon and make sure the Man in Black is defeated, but whoever said that was the idea? Maybe we're all chasing the same goal, but with different intentions?
Here's 2 basic end results after finding Jon
1: Find Jon, help him defeat the Man in Black, get a big thank you from good ol' Jon, maybe even a sloppy kiss on the cheek and that's it. (ok, maybe a card at christmas)
2: Find Jon, hand him over to the Man in Black, and get all the luxuries S&S have to offer without handing your soul over!
OK, I know this one is off-topic, flame me for that if you want, but dont flame me on the theory itself, I know I've oversimplified a bit, but the theory behind it is sound

Given this new development, might it be worth looking into the flash pages of the test again? I wouldn't have a clue how, but if anyone has the time...

essentially we're all in the same place. if anyone had "finished" the game then they'd probably have money and in the spirit of this they would have told us or some other forum how and then there'd be no point carrying on as jon would have been found OR sable and shuck overthrown OR any other permutation. the game is still very much afoot if the cash prize exists then we'll all be moving at the same rate until the last week or so when there's going to be a chance for someone or a group of people to scoop the prize ahead of everyone else. am i right in thinking this is the first real world reward for an arg? aside from satisfaction from a good solve
i totally think we have to do a great many more solves before sable and shuck will even consider us. does make me think though...what made jon so worthy? and who else have they taken? but that's another topic.

There have been a few others -
* BMW had the ARG, :k:, which I believe had a prize of a BMW (?)
* Search4E had several prizes along the way (mostly cash)
* Terraquest had a $25,000 prize, but I think it's arguable whether or not that was an actual ARG
* The Steinitz Puzzlers Urn Hunt is going on now and has some high end televisions as prizes.
That's all I can think of at the moment
