Re: Other "spam" e-mails?

If this supposed spam is relevant, maybe we should be looking more closely at the earlier posts again? The two about getting younger (http://www.synthasia.com/secure/mes022603m1.htm and http://www.synthasia.com/secure/mes022703m1.htm) are suspect I thought, as why send spam without a relevant link? Both of them go to different 404 errors...

Look at the url it goes to:
http://2T2yvJ@www.aaa9875548.com/1/ie/7/

that is the strangest url I've ever seen.

my reply

Here is my rep[ly to dsyager:

Quote:
Hello dsyager,

Got your message, thanks! As yet, the only information I have read about Ong's Hat has been on the internet. I have read what I could find on Incunabula.com and other other links I have found from there. I am particularly interested in the other "travellers" who are said to be descended from Javanese lemurs. In certain places, I have seen hints that they may be affecting events here.

I am not sure at this point what I believe or don't believe. I have read of strange events happening in that area of New Jersey, especially in this town: http://www.aglauranj.org. A rash of mysterious graffiti, strange artifacts found, a man who claims to have been granted a wish. It's all very strange. What do you make of it? It makes for an intriguing mystery, whether it is a hoax or something more.

Sincerely,
flybynight (http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/flybynight)

Hopefully, this will help me determine whether this is truly in game or not, and might net me some useful information.

I asked about this in #ctw. Kimer and Kotter say:
I believe those are referrer codes
it's a code that spammers put in front of their websites
the code before the @ sign simply tells the site where the person is coming from, based on where the email was sent to

I think I get the Look Younger emails. If you read the ebook on the preparation for "travel" they mention a few times that the mind/body/spirit work could reverse aging along with curing disease.

The T3 site would be in regard to the ability to travel though time and space and how does Arnold show up? Nekkid, like the "tavellers" of this story.

The one I haven't figured out yet is the online college.

Following your line of reasoning, this one should be obvious.

The Curriculum
The original and still ultimate concern of our community is the enhancement of consciousness and consequent enlargement of mental, emotional and psychic activities. When the Ashram was founded by W.Fard the only means available for this work were the bagful of oriental and occultist meditational techniques he had learned in Central Asia, the first-generation "mind machines" developed during the '80s, and the resources of exotic pharmacology.

With the first successes of the Dobbs twin's research, it became obvious to us that the spiritual knowledge of the Ashramites could be re-organized into a sort of preparatory course of training for workers in "Cognitive Chaos." This does not mean we surrendered our original purpose - attainment of non-ordinary consciousness - but simply that ICS work could be viewed as a prolongation and practical application of the Ashram work. The theorems allow us to re-define "self liberation" to include physical self-renewal and life-extension as well as the exploration of material reality which (we maintain) remains *one* with the reality of consciousness. In this project, the kind of awareness fostered by meditational techniques plays a part just as vital as the *techne'* of machines and the pure mentation of mathematics.

No, I mean that they developed a course to teach their members how to travel through dimensions. This would dovetail nicely with the online college. Not that I'm really buying into this spec, mind you. Laughing

But the links don't lead anywhere...I don't think that 2 spammers would manage to get that so wrong! Some kind of a puzzle I think, but at the moment I'm not getting it...

Both are listed by Spamhaus. As one has a very large netblock assigned to it, I doubt that that would be a plant, as it would affect many users.

I have read more of the ebooks and in the interview there are comments that Incunabula is now located in virtual space and one group seems to have taken their computers with them. How they have done this, I don't know yet since all other info says they couldn't take anything. Maybe Java 2 is different. Anyway, maybe they want us studing via computer.

Somewhere in the literature on the Incunabula site it's mentioned that they learned a way of taking inanimate objects with them inside the egg.

BTW, after reading more from the links from Incunabula I hope the people who registered for this game are way over 13. Shocked

"More scholarly papers." Could this be refering to the find of the chest at the old library.

Searching around for names containing ds* in the members, there is also a dskenne who registered for the site on March 18...kenne is German for know...may be another clue or we could be reading (ha ha) way too much into this site?

First of all, hi! This is my first post, I just got involved a few days ago, and have been busy catching up.

Anyway, about the "dsyager" mystery... I believe this might shed some light on things:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=809

Note the email address, and that the date on one of the emails is March 7th, while the bookcrossing account was registered on the 17th of March. Seems that dsyager is in fact a poster to this very board.

Of course, I'm fully prepared for the possiblity that everyone already knows this, in which case I look like an idiot. Confused
