The lot image that is curently up is in .jpg format. Were those two that were posted converted in some way?

haven't looked at that - i only checked the files posted here in the forum. if the images were converted from jpeg, this explains perfectly the 8x8 artefacts.

i'm sorry did you say grid? is it possibly a 22x22 grid? something that could be superimposed over say...the Guides' Second Step?

Clarify on the photos

I'm sorry- I had trouble uploading the 2nd photo. The original was a jpeg file and the forum didn't accept the original. I forgot to mention that in my original note. Embarassed

I saved it as a png file to get it on the board. If anyone wants the original I can e-mail it to you if it becomes an issue. BTW the original was 540x156 and 18.9kb.
Sorry if I caused a problem.
The images are the same, but if there was anything else (hidden) to it I don't know if the copy would show it.

no. the image is much wider than tall, and the grid is comprised of 8x8 squares over the whole image, so it has much more cells horizontally than vertically. anyway, 8x8 artifacts are common for the jpeg compression, so i think that fully explains the noise.
