interesting game! i'm stuck on number 3. the closest answer i got was "tree". what the hell does "<!-- xxxx = x(h)xxx -->" mean??

EDIT: I got it! It's "three". The source code was telling you do put a "h" after the first letter in "tree".

I'm new to these, so I'm thrilled that I got passed 4 on my own. If you want a hint:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
look at the picture name... now change it to a contrast and look at the result closely.

it looks like a vampire. are you saying that it's one of the humans on the evolutionary chain? so...i should be looking for what the name of the skeleton is? i mean, the name of the species of human from thousands of years ago?

we are supposed to have evolved from them according to some theorists... I know the pic isn't a good depiction... but you probably already guessed it... maybe if you try a slang version of the name.

this is driving me insane! i can't seem to find any of our past "cousins" that have vampire like teeth, or any that work as a password. "h.omo" doesnt work, "human" gives me a "good try" page....so, i have no clue.

um, could you give me a hint on what branch of the human evolutionary chain i'm supposed to be looking on? or some other hint?

not that hard it's kind of simple.... if you just shorten it , it's just simp... you think you can find it now or will you be a gimp?

EDIT: BTW maybe you shouldn't just post answers even though they are spoilered... ltakes the fun away... maybe just real good hints would be appropriate.

so, it's a monkey. um, could you give me a hint on what type of monkey it is? maybe it's country of origin?

EDIT: Putting a spoiler tag gives a person a choice if they wish to know or not. I prefer letting people use their free will. It only "takes the fun away" if a person decides to cheat. True puzzle fans usually won't cheat.

True... and maybe it's because I'm new to this, but most people I've seen have only put in hints on posts and those are usually spoiler tagged. So I saw your post above and assumed the same thing and unspoiled them expecting a hint. Shocked If you're going to put answers under the tags, maybe label them as such?

But I suspect best practice is to only put hints in the forums (always spoiler tagged) and send answers through PM when they are asked for.
just my opinion

As for number 9... Natas gave you some great hints....
