[EMAIL] Alyssa might be getting the Axe

[EMAIL] Alyssa might be getting the Axe

Quote:
I got a call this morning from Alyssa. It seems that because there's
no Apple Harbor webpage anymore the town no longer feels it should pay
her for her services. She's getting fired from her job as Webadmin,
unless there's a working page up by the end of the week.

She's in a panic -- she tried rebuilding the page a couple times
herself, but to be honest she's not a great web designer. Then, I
reminded her that her service allows us to use templated designs to
make new pages rather quickly. I left out the fact that I've got a
Blog online -- I'm still not sure knowing any of my dreams would be
good for her.

So she's working on it, but it's slow going. I think she's not only
fighting the pressure of losing her job, but there's a certain amount
of emotional baggage that she's carrying from her time doing the web
design before. A reluctance to revisit the past, as it were.

I offered to help her put the content back up, and at first she was
unwilling to even discuss it. Yet she didn't hang up on me, so I kept
asking and eventually got a small agreement that she would call me if
she needed anything. I have a feeling I'll be hearing back from her
soon.

I'll keep you all up to date when there's progress to be seen. Until
then, let me know if we make any headway with those dreams. Thanks,
and good luck!

--Josh
