[solved] Third Key

I posted the the 2nd key that was found by hakab2060 on the usual 'The Twelve' board. I've got a response already.

I think in the future anyone can post solved puzzles at http://www.livejournal.com/community/heisrising/. THey have to posted in morse code though. It seems as if communications on new posts only are sent to the poster. So if you post there, please tell us about their reply here asap.

Here is their answer after discovering the 2nd key.

As promised, here is your information.

We have many brothers all over the world. These are some of them.

Identify them and what it is to obtain the Third Key.
Find attached an important file which will help you.

The file is an *.ogg file. These are not allowed as attachments on this forum. If you want it, pm me your email address.

Sorry, I've been a bit out of the game with Xmas and all... I'll update the wiki when I have the time.
I too got the .ogg file... I played it, i think it's some kind of music... Any ideas as to what we have to do? Just identify it??

@Zephret (and others) From reading other posts it's most likely that there hidden messages within the file. THese can be found by speeding up the playback rate, reversing the sound, etc.

However, I don't have the right software to do that. I did manage to convert the file to mp3. Hopefully someone can make good use of that. All I acn tell you is that the filename ROT_13's to 'cradle'.

Had a look at the audio file (with many thanks to hakab2060).

Quote:
It seems as if the audio file is an edited death metal record. I have reversed the tracks and speeded it up 150%. Can't make out the lyrics yet though. Maybe The Twelve is a very good death metal band and made us a nice little song.

That is some pretty rockin' music, but I just cannot make out anything they are saying. It almost doesn't sound like they are speaking English, but I may be wrong.

Seems to me we have identify the name of the band and what 'it is'. No ideas on the band name, but I can tell what it is: terrible noise. (You know what I mean when you turn on your speakers when you try to identify what they are 'singing').

Alright, I've not been following along, but I think I have a prtial solve for you. In fact, I know I have a partial solve for you... and it comes with a funny story...

So I played around with the song enough to hear (what I thought to be) the lyric "well trained eye" near the end of the clip... so's I get Googling, and come up with a number of System of a Down lyric sites, which doesn't help me any... so I go back the the file and listen to the beginning, and hear the word 'flushed'... back to google I go, adding 'flushed' to the search string and proceeded to click on the top link... seeing the System of a Down lyric matching, I went for the lyric that included the word 'flushed', to find...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...This issue of the forest's bed
Skin flushed with sipped absinthe -
Her eyes revealed...

Imagine my surprise when I found that those words matched with the music clip! So I google the 'flushed' line and got to here.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Your band's name is Cradle of Filth. The song name is Born In A Burial Gown.

Where you use this information, I don't know. I couldn't get a clear picture by reading previous posts, unfortunately. But use this information and slay the dragon! (or whatever villain you are going after)

Feels good to be a part of a solve for the first time in a long time.
