Durga Meet 2005 Kristen Rutherford has kindly agreed to take some time off from her visit home to the DC area on January 2 to meet any beekeepers who can get here. (Because she really really loves the DC Axon Hunter Signal Corps!)
We haven't quite decided where, although methinks a restaurant at Union Station would be appropriate JUST BECAUSE. Time is also open.
That is a Sunday, so we hope beekeepers who need to travel can make it. But if people need to be heading out of town that evening, then possibly we can do an afternoon thing. We'll nail that down closer to the day.

I can definitely attest to the fact that she loves the DC hunters. She mentioned them during dinner and I could tell she's really looking forward to it...
If you're anywhere in the area I strongly urge you to go, almost with a cattle prod, because she is astounding. You definitely will regret not being there. Shoot, I flew from Oklahoma to LA just to meet her... kinda...

Well, I was in Chicago a couple of weekends ago for my sister-in-law's wedding, but I didn't even have enough spare time to stop off at Sugar: A Dessert Bar to try the "MacDeth By Chocolate," #3 on the list of Top Ten Chocolate Desserts in the United States.
Oh, you meant why doesn't anyone significant ever come to Chicago...

Hehehe, I got to hang out with him...
So, when should I drive up to Chicago again?
Krystyn when is your next play?

Dunno yet! I auditioned for something accidentally last week, but I was planning on auditioning for a musical in a month or so ... I will be sure to keep you all updated!
That would be awesome, to have a beekeepers contingent at some play ... Bahahaha! Wow. Forget cell phone directories, that would be heart-warming ...
Also, you got to meet HitsHerMark! It helps a little that she and I get to 'see' each other on Live occasionally - comparing our mud masks. Does anyone ever get the feeling while playing Halo 2 on multi that you've actually sort of met the people you play with regularly, when you've never actually been in the same room, ever?
Or is it just me?

He sneakily mentioned coming to Chicago, but did not provide salient details!

You'd better or...or...I'll...stick you full of little pink bolts of light! So there!

No, I too have had this feeling.

I fly through O'Hare on the way to school (and on the way back home) fairly regularly. Shall we meet up for lunch sometime?
Also, if any SF Bay Area Beekeepers are gonna be around this winter, I'll be back all winter break.
