hey everyone. im new to the ARG thing, but i've been following this one since it started. don't you think it's weird for pandora to use the word 'skeered'? it seems out of character considering she wrote the previous confidential letter (and possibly the elysium message). my first thought was that it was a code-name or at least a code-word.
'i am skeered. really.' -pandora. maybe its another log in name.. or possibly an anagram or some type of message.
(pandora started her first message by saying 'I am Pandora.' if that pushes my point any further, lol)

Sorry, I was hopped up on chocolate and Jolt cola when I posted that - I'm not competing either, it's just, I launched my forum 11 AM jan 3rd. We almost have 1500 page views, all that jazz. It's just hometown pride, my man!
I'm trying to get as many people as I can on one project. I get no benefit out of that, other than seeing an ARG community grow; again, if I left bad vibes on my post, my apologies.

Sorry - I can't find this update on the confidential page...
Could someone just point the way for me? (sorry once again!)

Just got an e-mail:
Quote:
From: Rebecca Night <pandora@slumberil.com>
To: *me*
Date: Wed, 05 Jan 2005 12:28:49 +0000
Subject: Re: Hello
I must be brief…
I'm in real danger and I don't know who to turn to, some of you warned
me that my clumsy tinkering with the mainframe might have been detected
and right now that hunch seems to be dead on.
The Slumberil Labs are swarming with corporate security and men in
black, I can only assume they are F.B.I, and further that they are here
for me.
I know it's much to ask, you don't know me but you are my only hope. I
need 2 things as quickly as you are able to; my very life depends on
your haste.
I need you to seek out any evidence on the www.slumberil.com site that
may implicate my involvement. I have no clue where to look and even
less time, but if its there it must be found and purged.
The second act may have some of you uncomfortable but it must be done
if only to grant me a window of opportunity so that you may learn from
me the secrets of the Matrix. I would appeal to the purpose serving a
greater good but the hollow noble notion leaves a bitter taste in my
mouth.
If there are logs of my movements or actions, a trail of some kind I
know you wont be able to erase it completely, you will have to alter
the incriminating evidence, to point the trail at another.
I don't have time to debate the morality of such an act; I only know
that without you I am lost before we have even begun.
Please do not forsake me I beg you…

I got a response to a mail to Rebecca aka Pandora
Edit : see post Omnie ^^^^
In response to the question
"What is the current state of the matrix ?"
Edit : To make this post not as useless as it is know, another change has happened over slumberil.com:
The security pages are not accessible anymore, when you try to log in with ROOT/Z1ON0101 or with pandora/w4k3up, you get the message
Quote:
Greetings.
Your actions are being logged.
Quit messing up our system.
We will prosecute.
This is MY house.

I think this e-mail is generated in response to any question - I recieved one in response to "Are you Rebecca?"
-C
Also - Can someone check the page that you get when clicking on the Elysium thing. I've clicked a number of times but don't get the red pill message. Maybe I haven't clicked enough, maybe it's gone?

It indeed doesn't matter what the content of your mail was, and the red pill is still there (ie the scrambled Elysium page of Pandora)
Edit: Well it was a moment after I got the mail and before you posted the question. Now it seems to be gone here also ...

I'm not getting it now either. Right after I got the e-mail, I sent her a short list of the general things we'd found, including that changing Elysium page. Maybe she took it down.
[edit] Ok, I'm seriously sitting here worrying about her hurriedly deleting files while agents swarm over her office. Ah, insanity, how I've missed you.

Sorry to post AGAIN -
Was that newsletter thing always there? Thought I would have remembered it if it had been. I think that may be new.
EDIT: At least I'm not going mad about the red pill thing!

Not too sure whether or not I should be posting again - or editing a previous post - let me know.
It was just to say that the title of the page that appears on going to the staff only section changes.
eg.
index of /beskeered
index of /trash
index of /neilownzyou
there are a few more I think.

All mail accounts are frozen while an internal audit is performed.
All of you that have been abusing this system will be tracked down and
dealt with.
This is MY house.
Neil.
I just recieved this e-mail having sent one back to Pandora/Rebecca. Suppose it fits with them removing everything.
