[UPDATE] elysium.php - A Message From The CEO

http://www.slumberil.com/elysium.php updated with:
Quote:
A message from the CEO that cares for your sleep, Willhiem Schlaf.

First, I must ask for your forgiveness. Slumberil has been subjected to a vicious and unfounded attack from would-be cyber-criminals and unscrupulous competitors. Unfortunately, some of you - our family of customers - have been subjected to destabilizing propaganda, a type of sickness which in keeping with Slumberil's commitment to your quality of life, will be remedied.

To remove any doubts in the public at large about the nature and physicality of our new flagship pharmaceutical, it gives me great pleasure to reveal Elysium in all of its glory. This box of Utopia that ?can make you feel better than real? is currently undergoing clinical trials here at Wright Research.

Test subject feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and Slumberil is committed to releasing a quality product regardless of time to market. We simply care too much about you. Elysium test subject testimonials will be published in the coming week, describing the miraculous ?drops of gold? in action, and I can assure you all subjects are alive and well and enjoying a comfortable stay in our facility with no expense spared with regard to their comfort and safety.

It brings me no end of sadness when my life's work, and the life's work of so many committed and devoted individuals, is muddied by ignorance and envy. Yet all we need do is take stock in the millions of lives we touch everyday with our pharmaceutical joy, any such pitiful attack pales into insignificance.

Slumberil is the foundation of our society, and we are here to stay!

Just noticed that http://www.slumberil.com/images/elysiumpill.jpg is a really big picture of the pill...not sure if it leads to anything, but it's odd.

(also it looks like the yellow pill is just a blue pill that's been manipulated in photoshop)

is there a reflection in the pill? Maybe a man by a computer?

Hey all. I've never done an ARG and this one caught my eye. Anyways... I just thought, has anyone destegged it? I looked at the online tools page and thought about it. I dunno.

You can not properly use stegdetect/break on the image. I think that the JPEG handling code may have an off by one error somewhere. I "fooled" stegdetect into working by malforming the image slightly. There are no guarantees that this returns the right answer, but I'm pretty sure it does.

Stegdetect won't analyse it ("false positive likely") and I tried (quite a few) combos, but couldn't get anything out. Here's my modified version if anyone else wants to give it a shot.

Someone should probably try to desteg the incriminate.jpg file. I'm at school right now, so I don't have the tools.

I've tried to do that with a number of programs - and still I haven't found anything using any of the passwords we've found so far.

Evidentally, incriminate.jpg was stegged: this was just posted to the xmyth boards. The password, found by radiofreezion, is "redpill", and the text is:
Code:
Bye-Bye Greg 779

-------------
Even if I find the 1053r that soiled MY house, Greg is still going out the door. I figure make hay while the sun shines, nail him with appropriate evidence, then take my time tracking down the real culprit for blackmail at a later date.

Never know if I'm lucky I might get some sweet loving out of this deal long term, that Rebecca is h4wt.

d**n! 1_4M_g0d! if it works for Greg might as well apply the same method to Ms. Night regardless of guilt, candy from babies, easy street everytime.

Hmm, from the looks of it and some of the phrases, that message could be written by Neil if it is real. I guess he just wants to pin the blame on some guy named Greg (personal vendetta?)

It probably has nothing to do with anything, but I just noticed that if you take the first letter from each line of the message it spells, "Bend." hmmm...

Mek found message #777 stegged in elysiumbox.jpg, using "j5042100" as the password:
Code:
Pre-Postal Gankfest Angst Volume 777
Jesus H farting Christ I need to burn this mother down. The breath on that hell spawn Quinn could slay a rhino at 40 paces, not to mention his bitch boy, goodie two shoes, fairy princess, Greg, my dog can code circles round that 1053r.
My mother always said I would amount to nothing and this place just about sums it up. WTF am I doing wasting my youth in this pit. I might as well head up to the roof access and take a one-way trip to salvation.
These geishas don't need the lil blue pill that keeps you where you want to be…asleep, they should bottle their inane, moronic, conversation its far more effective. Quinn has a full on chubby for my every breath, its like I go to the cooler, I swear to JC he's checkin out the wiggle in my jiggle.
And another thing while I'm at it, that assclown Greg tells me to install this POS mail sys one more bloody time, I'm going to install this software, box, and all right up where the sun don't shine, pansy ass choir boy!

And Aidyl on xmyth found message #778 in the giant yellow pill, using "ZAISV0101" as the password:
Code:
Neil Musings 1 am 1nv1c1bl3 778

I have to admit that I am without doubt utterly brilliant. My continued piss take of Greg's web content gives me no end of personal fulfillment and ego stroking. 778 embedded posts and not even Quinnbot has uncovered my nefarious opus.

I believe without this relief I would have gone totally bonkers at day 3 of my employment here in the dungeon of gloom. Wait a sec…

…Ah nuts rot breath just passed my secondary proximity perimeter, guess this one will have to wait till after I hear what part of the world needs saving now.

Btw supposedly the entire research team has been sequestered pending investigation; again I knew one of those pharm geeks was messing in my house. Whoever gets stuck with the rap I will fabricate some logs just to ensure mandatory 10 to 20 in the big house. "Who's your Daddy, Dr Punk?"
