significance of the "..:" thing on projectsyzygy I was just doing a google search...and I never really noticed this until today, that the title of the homepage of projectsyzygy.com is "..:". This is really odd because it is done on purpose...
For any interested in finding out what the thing means...
..:
in hex is 2E2E3A
in decimal is 464658
and in binary is 001011100010111000111010

Braille characters use a 2x3 matrix of dots and spaces, i.e.
XX
XX
XX
So if this is a braille character it's lying on it's side. Could be the letter V if it's just rotated but if it's reflected it could be a P or the symbol for a number. See http://sanchez.e-poets.net/pdf/braillecard.pdf for more information.
<SPEC>Could the V be the Roman numeral 5? Probably just a long-shot and it doesn't make things any clearer for me.

The codes aren't folders, .html files, or special inputs on the email box.

Pure spec:
..: = Period Period Colon = PPC = PerplexCity

I'd like to note that before project syzygy was completed it was . : : : which throws off the above spec (It would have been . ; if it was).

It probably leads no-where, but if you rotate the ..: then it forms a V in braille, but as Kev said, the previous title makes it slitely redundant

Phases compleated? Since there was .::: before, and ..: now... Maybe they took out part of it? Or perhaps it's some other type of counter.

Yeah, i thought of that....I thought it could be some kind of countdown to the beginning of the "Perplex City" game...its there on purpose anyway, so it must mean something...

Remember PS is now complete but maybe there is a phase that we're waiting for. Perhaps its implementation?

Picking up a trick from the postcard thread. '..:' and '.:::' could be Morse Code.
Letting : be dash, we have:
'..:' can be U, IT, EA or EET
'.:::' can be J, WT, AM, ATT, ED, EMT, ETTT
or, letting : be dot, we have:
'..:' can be G, ME, TTE, TN
'.:::' can be B, DE, NI, NEE, TS, TIE, TEEE
Aside from "me", I don't really see anything here.

Yeah, and there'd probably be more if it were significant
