I'm going to interpret that as, "OMFG I'M SO THERE!!!1" And to make sure you're there, I'm invoking the Power Stance of the Hoff:

Go ahead. I dare you to tell the Hoff you're not coming to ARGFest.

the hoff

hahahahaha!

Wasn't that calendar the inspiration for the proposed "Men of Unfiction"calendar? I think we could make a bundle off that and pay for everyone's trip to ARGFEST.

bagsbee: what was the winning T-shirt design again?

Good to know Smile I've been considering asking about the hivemeet. I was sort of a beekeeper in that I helped with the puzzles and I failed to find the one phone near me Smile

Okay, that settles it. Clearly I do need to do a post here.

We want EVERYONE!

About 40 minutes north of Milwaukee, on the lake. I was in the group that couldn't find the Milwaukee phone Smile

Ah. Well, if you want to come and need a ride, let me know. I'm sure Kali and I could swing it.

Are you going to contact Uncle Fester?

Ah, well, okay.

Perhaps you could swing 2,170 miles to the west to pick up me?

Origin of Fest-o-Con

SpaceBass planned a little vacation to Las Vegas, going to meet up with vpisteve. This turned into "anyone else wanna meet up, we can gather at some casino lounge for drinks"...... This happened at the Bellagio on Friday evening.

Well, who doesn't want to come to Vegas, baby?

Let's turn this into a mini-ARG (online) - and the solving of the puzzles (thanks to vpisteve) lead to the meeting place, time, and pass-phrase to play the mini-ARG (on site) for a little puzzle/scavenger hunt at the Hard Rock Casino. With the official dinner that night. Unofficial limo ride over to the Star Trek Experience followed.

By the way, Diandra solved the online puzzle, Danman_D got the prize for the on site game, and Dia & CabalAgent hosted the limo ride.

Fun was had by all - and plans for another vacation gathering soon developed. So, ARGFest-o-Con II happened in Orlando, Nov 2003. More food, more fun (although I would highly recommend avoiding on-site puzzles during CityWalk BeerFest), more people to meet.

I'm sure there is a thread around here about both of these trips.

Just you wait, one of these times that wet t-shirt contest is going to materialize. I can feel it.

I don't know if this is the reason or not I'm being pressured to go. Whatever the case, I'll pack an extra wife beater in the suitcase.
