don't know if I can do blog... I can do blag, and also "bore'em on the forum"

I know i do go on a bit, but I like to keep me hand in and log into the forum to see what's happening in the game

as I usually don't have anything productive to add, I feel a bit redundant, but I can't stop those itchy fingers

unfortunately for my fellow forumers, it's usually late at night and I'm a bit squiffy - I always dread logging back in the following day to read what c**p I've posted the night before

..one day i probably won't be able to log back in coz wishi will have locked me out

....will you be my surety for bail if Wishi gets me locked up?

talking of that Wishi person (in hushed tones of course) I've only just noticed (not the brightest of sparks) that Wishi has been fiddling about with my posts yet again! ...this is the limit guys

Merged into "humour" topic - Wishi-san

it's not the merging bit I object to (I can't even remember where I posted the original one) ...IT'S THE QUOTATION/INVERTED COMMA MARKS!! (whoops shhh .... Rose might hear )

"humour".... "humour".... get those inverted commas

Wishi uses them like ear muffs ... "Wishi" "Wishi" """""Wishi""""""

....hopefully he won't hear this post Smile

hear, hear Eddie Nichols

I know it can be a tad tedious here in the "off forum" thread - but it isn't a "serious trying to solve game" thread

just somewhere to chill out, have a brew or bevvie (or two)

smoke a sneaky fag in the break ... while all those serious peeps are busy bustin' their little grey cells on the puzzles

..we've already had a go at that and resting little grey cells for the next clue (realising of course, that while we are taking break, some clever dick has probably solved it all and claimed the reward.....)

but...
a half pint ( a whole one goes warm too quick) of ice cold stella...in my glass, right here

or sweating it out on the forum and googling while the stella goes warm

hmmm difficult one that

plus, I think these little breaks make the grey cells a little sharper (haa).. and give me personally time to reflect on the good things that have happened today ..

didn't put on 2 pounds but didn't lose them either (won't weigh myself tomorrow though, coz all that Stilton, cream and white wine may suddenly jump out at me on the scales)

and it gives me time to ponder on the chores I have tomorrow

... take back the Cyclon Safeway/Morrisons clothes washing liquid that we can't get the lid off, because the manufacturers have moulded it on good style and even a serrated knife won't saw it off

... feed the neighbours cat and empty litter tray and hope it hasn't pooed all over their house again (last time we wondered why there wasn't any poo in the litter tray... there were 2 weeks worth under the bed upstairs)

.... take the files I brought home from work over the weekend (brown-nosing to the boss) back to a colleague who lives round the corner (I don't work Mondays Very Happy ).. and tell him I was too busy with the Cyclon bottle to do them...

.... go back to the forum and try to solve the blinkin puzzles

My fellow ARG-ites.. ARG-arians? I have a plan.

Ok... today is St. Patrick's day which in the States means we generalize about Irish folk whilst wallowing in shallow commercialism and drinking beer.

Cinco de Mayo: Substitute "Mexican" for "Irish" above.
Christmas: Substitute "Christian" for "Irish" above.
4th of July: Substitute "American" for Irish" above.
Valentine's Day: Substiute "Couples' for "Irish" above.
Memorial Day: Substitutle "Veterans" for "Irish" above.
Labor Day: Substitute "People with Jobs" for "Irish" above.
etc.

So... it'd be un-American of me to stop drinking Belgian beer to protest a contest open only in the U.K. on St. Patrick's day.

But tomorrow.... I'm gonna boycott Stella Artois until we either get more clues or Jon Harker is Freed. Or his soul is freed. Whichever.

WHO'S WITH ME!!! FREE JON HARKER! OR HIS SOUL! WHICHEVER!

I'll get the domain freejonharker.com to rally our cause, and we'll make our stand there. Err.. wait.. that would require effort. Maybe not... but I'll think about it strongly!

-D
p.s.: Gonna have to drink a little extra tonight... could be a long dry spell ahead.

I recomend thinking about it over a pint of green beer, which is of course how all beer in Ireland is served...

Agree with all, but shuldn't this be "Mexican" instead of "Spanish"?

... to be honest, it's not gonna be such an unbearable sacrifice, there are a lot of very reasonable beers out there... and there's wine, and gin, and caipirinha, and... hic... well, a lot of stuff to... hic... oh, I forgot what I was saying... hic... oh, nevermind...
Very Happy

This is offtopic so I'll post it here.

A little article in the Metro this morning made me smile, and think of this game. Just found it on BBC News too:

Hornchurch's (Essex) register office forgot to renew its license...

Hi Flo

Gosh all those poor peeps - 'specially if they were saving themselves for their wedding night Shocked

Charles and Camilla (not the royal ones, of course) are sharing a cosy breakfast of tea, toast and orange juice:-

CHARLES: What Ho, Toodle Tums and Flying Bananas, Camilla!! ... you'll never guess what!

CAMILLA: What, Pumpkin Pie?

CHARLES: we're only not hitched, that's what

CAMILLA: Don't be silly, sweetums, what are you talking about?

CHARLES: Bloody paper here..says so, don't you know... ceremony not legal..blahh blah blah

CAMILLA: you must be reading Friday's paper - it's an April Fools, sugar plum - do pass the marmalade old fruit...and getting back to sensible things, you don't mind if I borrow your credit card again - got some serious shopping to do at Harrods today

CHARLES: ..um.. blah de blah de blah...null and void.... no doubt about it lamby ducks, you and I are living in sin

CAMILLA (aghast) : Charles, poppet, that just can't be! I deliberately withheld sexual favours from you, knowing that your frustation would lead you to propose and marry me.... you are joking, arn't you doodle dums?

CHARLES: 'fraid not, angel cake, it's all here in the Verity News, and you know the Verity never lies

CAMILLA: but Charles, love of my life, what does this mean?

CHARLES: ... well for a start, you can put the credit card back in my wallet

CAMILLA (horrified) : No!!!! What about that new D&G deluxe luggage set I wanted?

CHARLES: pipe dream toots! As you are not my legal spouse your expense account is as of now FROZEN!

CAMILLA: but, but, you told me you loved me forever...

CHARLES: that was before our purported wedding night ... which i might add was a tad disappointing

CAMILLA: you Cad, Sex Mad, Conniving Dronger, you....

CHARLES: Gold digger!!... (dialling his mobile)... Andrew, please arrange to place an ad in this week's Dukes to Date... "extremely wealthy unattached Adonis seeks pleasurebabe....."

Wishi-san x Wishi-san x Wishi-san

Gettin' a bit worried about Wishi lately

his quotie thing at the bottom of his posts have got the above "Wishi-San x " thing on them

...is this a secret "x" kiss to Sequoia, or is the "x" for a secret ballot in which Wishi is a candidate?

plus....

s/his avatars keep changing at an alarming rate - first the hearts and snogs... s/his current one seems to depict a male(?) bunnyish creature looking at a female(?) (Sequoia?) duck creature and Wishi appears to be holding a baby's crib Shocked

are there mini Wishi's now among us?

....if so, I wish Wishi and mini Wishi best wishies ..(oh, and of course Sequoia... unless it's not Sequoia and I'm putting my foot in it Wink )
