[Halo 2] Crazy Stunts and Glitches

I think it's time we had a thread for those of us that have some exploring stories or even better, VIDEO. A few of us, especially Incitatus, have found some really neat glitches in the physics engine of Halo 2 that can allow you to do crazy things like flying up to the tallest crane in Headlong, walking on top of the windmill in Zanzibar, or launching tanks in Coagulation.

So this thread is for discussing those exploits with fellow beekeepers and to even post links to video of these stunts being done.

With that said, I will go ahead and post the first video link from a few nights ago when INCyr, Silrn, B0G and me were flying all around headlong. So enjoy. (and as INCyr pointed out to me, B0G was the one that discovered this glitch, we just happened to be there)

If anyone can mirror this file I would apprieciate it. I don't want to overload my brother's server. Thanks.

Blah... I just found a vid on highimpacthalo from a month ago of some guys doing the same thing with the crane/wraith thingy. But I think the spot just below the New Mombasa sign maybe our discovery.

EDIT: re-read your post, i was part of showing Incitatus and some of his friends how to rocket lunge about 2 months back, and then CirrusStrafe pitched in and figured out how to launch us without a banshee to the very top of Headlong. tricksters feel free to add me...cHaOsGeNeRaToR8

Excellent video, Astro! Well done, and I think you caught just about everything we managed to find.

I loved the video!

I signed up just to say that lol Smile

I happened to especially like the part where you had the rocket too the face.... that was me launching it of course Smile Anyways I enjoyed the synchrocity that you managed to put in with the music and what not. I'd love to see more video editing done by you based on this example. Anyways, see you in game!

"Cannibal Whore Feast" did not work on the original Marathon music. A fellow by the name of Alexander Seropian did, and those other guys just made remixes of his music.

Oh I forgot about that. I had all the tracks in my Aleph One(Marathon PC port) directory so it never occurred to me to credit the original composer. Sorry about that.

No words can describe it. So i giveth a vid.
Credit on the initial efforts towards a solo mission up to the cranes and beyond go to EEE and the crew as linked above.

This one however took a little extra thought. namly a sarcastic suggestion by fugitive soldier, and some creative twists afterwards...

LINK BEING UPDATED:
www.welovebees.com/flying_coach.wmv

and I am trying to get the vids hosted at the above trick site to save bandwith...

VERY nice!!! I think my favorite shot was the wheel flying off of the hog out into the sea ..... goodbye fair wheel.

Nice music choice too, very funky.

Seemed a little darker than the previous video .. did anyone else notice this?

Yes, I did too as a matter of fact... I think it is because this time around i recorded the footage on a new VHS.

BTW the 2 Proper Engine Jumps are Timed at little over 15 seconds of pure air-time each, making them the absolute highest/longest jumps for headlong on record.

Is the one clip during the credits of me quitting the game in mid-air?

I thought that might look cool from the ground. Lifeless corpses tumbling from the heavens...

That was a lot of fun. Here's to Headlong!

Indeed it is.
Looks to me more like you flew up high, and then started flailing about like a little girl, then *SMACK!*

I just realized, i don't show up in the game statistics for that, and it isn't on my list. But you clearly see my name over my head more than once. Odd.
