????????Pre-trailhead?
There seems to be a rabbit, but I can't find a hole!

I just got this comment on my YouTube account:

Quote:
extenttv
How / what do you know about getting subscriptions?

I went to his youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/extenttv,

which led to: www.extenttv.com

Why do I think it might be a pre-trailhead?

1) the subtitle on the youtube has a reference to LOST:
Quote:
The Extent - LOST meets WAR OF THE WORLDS

2) the dude who put it up is Canadian on a low/no budget (fits the profile for a web film with ARG attached Razz)

3) the casting tab on the website has recruitment stuff to be mailed to "jayisnowhere", which ?may relate to a future disappearance of someone called jay

Things against:
Well, I don't that there is any actual concrete evidence at all that there may even be a remote chance that this may be a game...

Summary:
Nothing concrete yet, but perhaps one to watch for potential future trailhead. (looks interesting anyway).
Shame about the swearing, it really ruins the sneak peak #1.

Here is the transcript of the letter (in case there are some who cannot read it due to resolution):

Quote:

Dear Friends,

Dear Enemies,

Then document in your possession is a piece from undoubtedly the most
valuable document in the history of mankind.

In 1957, an American research team in Iraq was on the trail of a document they called "earths First Bible". Evidence pointed to the existence of such a work that was man's first written account of God. Luckily, the team found "Earth's First Bible", but unfortunately, there was no way to translate it. In 1958, Iraq became a much more difficult environment, and so research was halted.

Because of recent events, Iraq has once again been opened to research for scientists who are daring enough. A "rosetta stone" of sorts has been discovered to make the translation possible, but there is a catch:

It turns out that "Earth's First Bible", refitted with its proper name of the ESCAPIST MANIFESTO is not a story at all. The ancient scribbling was a form of musical notation. Man's earliest understanding of God could only be expressed in the form of music.

Unfortunately, no one on the team had any knowledge of music, but one man, Ramon Tezanos had a connection. The documents were handed over to his son, a doctor of psychology doing research in a mental institution in South America.

And so, I formally introduce myself. My name is Jason Ramon Tezanos. I've got a very interesting subject by the name of Ian Hinden here. He is a man who is made of anger. Almost as if his very fibers are hewn from hate. I've placed the Escapist Manifesto into his hands to translate.

I have put God into the hands of madmen, where he belongs.

This is a project that may yield some very interesting results. I'm not yet sure what we have wrought. Perhaps we will bring man closer to God than he has ever been. Perhaps we will bring God closer to madness than He has ever known.

If you need anything more, just remember: Pregunta DeLeon.

Sin surely,

Jason Ramon Tezanos

Looks ARGish enough...Thread anyone?

BTW, anyone have a good grasp of Ancient Arabic scripts or Ancient Arabic musical notation? Wink

For those who may be having trouble finding it, it is called the Escapist Manifesto and can be found here thanks to resorocker

(Is resorocker = seanierawks?)

Anyone else get these emails? I was just checking my email for the first time in a long while, and found them.

[Trailhead] Murcheson Expedition

(sorry, didn't mean to imply you should have known it existed; i meant to add that a simple site search for 'Sturdevant' or 'murcheson' brings it up)

I know it's not likely we'll be able to stay in contact. You guys in Europe got lucky. If you wanted to make a facebook, you'd be able to keep up with what I'm doing. I have to get out of my house, but I'll be able to get online plenty. I'm taking my netbook with me, among other things. Long story...

I miss hearing your voice. I love you.

It was sent with tracymiyaoSPLATyahoo.com in the to: area. I assume I was in the bcc:

No idea if it's a game, and since I'm hoping and waiting for The Prisoner, I leave it up to others to figure it out.

I found this email in my spam box today. The subject and text are weird enough as well as it being from a gmail account that it struck me as having a very slim chance at being something more.

This is a newer email account that I have never used for an ARG, but I have recently signed up on that 42 form with it. I find hard to believe 42 is using a gmail account so it's probably spam but maybe somebody here can make something out of it.

Random text = spam... Most of the time, anyway.
