Weird since I haven't posted in a while.

I'm inclined to believe it's an ARG, because I got this back after sending an email asking "Are you Jack?"

Quote:
No, I found the password for this email at Jack's house. His sister and I searched the house for clues. We didn't find much besides a few cryptic notes. Jack was getting really weird before he left. The poem on the blogspot was from one of the notes.

In the source, there's a commented binary string:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

01010100-01101000-01100101-01111001-00100000-01101000-01100001-
01110110-01100101-00100000-01110100-01100001-01101011-01100101-
01101110-00100000-01101101-01100101-00100000-01110100-01101111-
00100000-01000101-01100100-01100101-01101110-00101110

That decodes to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They have taken me to Eden.

Which I can't find as a place to go. The obvious one hasn't seen any action since '02.

This sounds a lot like the re-emergence of an OLD ARG the name I cannot remember but it had poems like that, and a character called the Jack of Hearts or something of that nature? (It was a card suite at least)

So I'm hoping this is part of an ARG.

Started getting followed on Twitter today by the following:

Quote:
https://twitter.com/Jihadaddy

Here's the Twitter bio:

Quote:
* Name Jihad Daddy
* Location Your Hometown
* Bio This is a Top Secret channel for terrorist and Jihadist communications. Do not pass this information on to non-believers!

An ARG with that topic would be treading dangerous territory. May be very inappropriate.

Eldritch Errors got a visit from the Secret Service (real life) because there was arabic used in Craig's Lists.

Yeah, dodgy ground for an ARG. But telling everyone that looks at their Twitter bio that it's "Top Secret"? Not very secretive at all Laughing Could be a spoof, or a crank. I'd see what appears in their tweets, but would most likely file it under "Not Sure What It Is & Not Sure I Want To Find Out"

Hey, I'm pretty new to this so if I break any rules of etiquette please feel free to let me know. Was browsing on the GameFAQs.com forums and found a thread with an interesting ending.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=956858&topic=52444989

The binary at the end translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Time will reveal the answers. Stop asking questions.eden4.weebly.com

Checked the page's source and got nothing, but that's just my uneducated first glance. Submitted my application, waiting on a reply. Might be something as simple as a fan-site, but I thought someone here might be better equipped to make a determination about that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: got a response back from my application, so I started a thread for it. Hope that's proper. If not, mods or whoever can feel free to move it wherever it belongs.

Weird email went straight to my inbox, not to my spam. Nothing sets off my ARGdar about this email...but I am not signed up for any job search websites or anything like that. So I was curious...

The zip code for Sandston is incorrect, it's actually 32150. When put into google it shows a house in a neighborhood. Google has never heard of a KPMG Cereal Company... the olny KPMG company is a tax auditing and financial service. There is nothing online that I could find about a scam with these keywords. Ideas? Spam? Random person emailing me about a job I am not qualified for?

I'd say spam. Why would a cereal company be using a domain like representative.com? (And I love that they're located in "United State.") Just imagine what they're doing with all that personal data sent back to them :(

I would say it sounds like an ARG. Someone who tweeted to him (I really have no idea how twitter works) was http://twitter.com/catalepticdeath which seems to be IG as well, seeing as he mentions him a few times. Mentions bounty hunting too, which is kinda cool Razz

Interesting, this 'Billy' mentions being stuck underground. How does he know that he's underground?

I dunno if this is ARg worthy, but I remember that there was some stuff here when the first Batman: Arkham Asylum game was being released.

At the end of the trailer it gives the address www.arkhamhasmoved.com

If you go there and watch through the video (you can scrub to the end) it brings you to a room with the Joker, In the US room, you can register for updates, in the UK room you can only select to watch the video again.

Might not be an ARG at all, so I didn't want to start a topic.

Found this in my inbox when I woke up this morning. Wouldn't usually have cared, but I guess this one hit me early enough that I didn't have my "ignore" defenses up and now my curiosity is sparked.

Sender is whitegreyblackgreywhiteSPLATgmail.com.

Quote:
If you give me a place,
I might give you a time,
that will make it worth it,
if you sit through this rhyme.

I'll ask you a color,
and then you might ask me mine,
but it wouldn't be surprising,
it's White Grey Black Grey White.

Be quick, now.

What's your favorite color?

Formatting is exactly as it is in the email. I haven't replied yet. Can't tell if it's a riddle that I'm not getting because I just woke up or what.

EDIT: I got tired of trying to puzzle it out and decided to treat it literally for the time being. I sent an email back saying my favorite color is black. Let's see what happens.
