Dunno if it's from an existing game, or trailhead or something else.
What do you guys think of it?

I received just the second email. No clue where it fits, yet.

ETA: "Jimmy Hutmaker, a.k.a. "Mister Jimmy", (April 18, 1932 – October 3, 2007) was a celebrity in Excelsior, Minnesota until his death on October 3, 2007." --Wikipedia

I was going to say I think he's intentionally making a Stones reference in that first email you got... and now I know he was:

"According to legend, was in his capacity as town ambassador that Hutmaker attended a concert by the Rolling Stones at the Danceland Ballroom at Excelsior Amusement Park in 1964. The next day Mick Jagger was having a prescription filled at Bacon's Drugstore when he encountered Jimmy again. Jimmy complained to Jagger that he had ordered a Cherry Coke but received a regular Coca Cola instead, then dismissed his own complaint, saying "You can't always get what you want."[5] [6] Five years later, on their 1969 album Let It Bleed, the Stones released a song titled You Can't Always Get What You Want - and references to a drugstore, a cherry soda, a prescription, and "Mr Jimmy" (Hutmaker's nickname around town) all appear in the song."

I wonder if this is something completely new?

Just the second. That's weird, since the first had your email on it as well.
I guess I'll try emailing him, see what he says back.

Good to know, I found it in the spam drawer.

So I got a reply from the person using the name Jimmy Hutmaker (we know it's not really Jimmy Hutmaker since he alleges he killed him).

Should I start a new thread? Do we think this is something new?

I don't know why I killed him, I don't remember much, sometimes there are spots where I see things that may have happened in the past. But I don't remember them.

I dont know why I am using his e-mail, it just came to me. The body is in some drugstore or something.

I got this from mine anyway:
Quote:

What happened is a mystery, we were talking and I blanked out, woke up and he was on the floor and I feared the worst. So I ran

You can start a new thread if you like. It's up to you. I'm not sure if it fits into any games I'm playing at the minute, but I doubt it.

I don't know about that, but I just recently recieved an email from Toolgrounds that had a link of ROT-13'd text:
http://imageanon.com/static/c75248af21ab80a6192d414a7dfb3b2a.jpg

I'm going to try deCamouflaging it, because it was a huge size-- something like 19500 bytes....
I can't figure out what is up though. The only reason I suspect it might be a trailhead is because I posted only my Gmail address on here, not my yahoo one, and the only way you'd be able to do that would be to click on my YIM button below this post.
Anyone else get an email like this? Or was a trailhead already started on it?

Edit: Nvm, apparently it was for 'what if this game is a coverup?' I should check my yahoo acount more often, but it's so filled with spam....>.>

If somebody noticed it, while of Cloverfield ARG I (aka Vlad) was writing with character HUD on his myspace his interactive comic story. And I used there a figure of Endoman the Dream Travellers (which wasn't concepted to the HUDs story).

I've made for Endoman various blogs, e.g. at Livejournal.
http://endoman.livejournal.com/

Today I've got a weird comment to my Endoman blog http://endoman.livejournal.com/562.html

I thought, perhaps it were a video for this ARG,

but I doubt now.

Maybe this shouldn't go here, but I'm curious to know if this has happened to anyone else (most likely in the UK). My landline rang earlier today, and the caller display just said International. I picked up, expecting it to be someone in a foreign callcentre trying to sell me something, but all I got was some piano music played down the phone. The call lasted about 25 seconds, and then the caller hung up. No speech, apart from my initial "Hello?".

I don't normally give out my landline number to people, and I'm ex-directory. As there was no speech, there's nothing really to go on, regardless of whether this is a rabbithole or a marketing call. Just seems like a pointless random useless call, but has anyone else had this happen?

This has happened quite a bit in the VITD thread, myf. Some seem to think it's IG, but I have my doubts.

Thanks for that. I very much doubt it's anything to do with that game (at least in my case) - I've not been following it, and had nothing to do with the previous game either. Oh well. I'll just put it down as one of life's little mysteries!
