Probably just a practical joke, but... it came from aotsnewsSPLATgmail.com. Generally, I've learned that real spam rarely comes from gmail, so it must mean something >.> Possibly a friend playing a prank, but... well...

I have never signed up for the Attack of the Show newsletter (Although my friend has before,) and I haven't really started watching the show until a few days ago (And none of my friends really know, as we're all on spring break). So it's something of a mystery as to how it got here.

Again, probably not an ARG and more of just a fun joke for nerds like me, but checking in just to be sure

 		Both RKE and myself got this too which is quite weird...

I've never even heard of the show just that Olivia Munn is a real actress/hostess person lol

It's a show on G4 that's basically tech news mixed with sexual innuendo XD

Hmm... if you two got it to, could it possibly be linked to Everything is Fine? Sounds like the kind of random crap they'd send us XD

And they replied:

We're the group of 5 people behind Attack of the Show. We assumed you had known Olivia before her... accident. We are sorry if this information came to you incorrectly, if we could please ask you to not reveal this until we are ready? Thank you.

And I replied:

Alright... but where did you get my e-mail address from that you would think I knew Olivia?

If this is true it is quite sad...

I am assuming you are not sure this was an accident?

Is foul play suspected?

And they just replied:

Well..

It's best that we don't discuss that yet. We're working on getting her look alike to act more like her.

We got your email from our people. I don't know why you'd be on here, but I could ask them.

And I replied:

Yes, please do I would like to know as I have never even heard of the show before...

Um... why is it that you are putting a look alike in her place instead of announcing her death?


***So now I am feeling like a bit of a freak - I mean I already think EVERYTHING is a game - is this getting out of hand? Or is it really a game?

I'm cool if you guys got it from me during a previous game, but otherwise... I'll come to you, K? It kinda makes me fear for my internet safety otherwise XD

ANYWAY...

I just got this, again in my spam box. Doesn't seem to be advertising anything, so it's up for ARG analysis again XD

Yeah, the sentences don't make much sense. But then again, has there EVER been a trailhead that immediately made sense?

XD Well, down here on the player's side of the curtain, my motto is "If it's not asking you to buy something... ah... dirty, it goes straight to this thread"

Anyway, I tried sending a reply to the mystery email, and this is what I got:
