[META] Puppetmasters with many names

Has anyone else noticed that the Puttet Masters have like a million names. I've seen then written as Lowe Live, Lowe, Lowe Plus and Draft London....

Whats the deal?

Oh, that's no wonder.... Time for a nearly forgotten quote Wink

Mark 5:8 For he said unto him, Come forth, thou unclean spirit, out of the man.

Mark 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith unto him, My name is Legion; for we are many.

Smile Daedalus' answer is much funnier than mine, I'm afraid...

Lowe is the name of the agency that have been looking after us for the game. Lowe Plus seems to be an experimental / viral subdivision - not their 'core' work so if it all goes wrong they can just say "oh, that wasn't us, that was Lowe Plus". Draft (AKA Draft London) is the new name for Lowe- they've recently changed names. Hope that helps!

You can read more about the two companies here which tells you about their different divisions.

At least, under "some friends" there's a Leigh Gilbert mentioned, but the linked domain is for sale. He reappears in: New Acquisitions of S+S Wink

PuppetMaster...

Found something:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Have seen the name "Jeremy Brook" 2 times in this forum. Some further details:

jeremy brook
68-114 Knightsbridge
London, SW1X 7LT, GB
jeremy.brookSPLATloweplus.com

Some people mean he's the Big Creator of this game.

He's also mentioned on the S+S site (new acquisitions)

Careful not to disturb the curtain here. It's one thing to talk about pertinent SA or Lowes info (since there are clear SA themes here), it's another thing to try and unmask the PMs.

Supergerms,

if the PM's don't want to be unmasked, they should be a bit more careful

I bought Flux mag on ebay and received this receipt by e-mail from E-Bay

Courtesy is courtesy regardless of the PM's covering their trail. It's one thing to note who is sending you an e-mail and look deeper into it, it's another thing to figure out who you think the PM is and then go and post his or her out-of-game personal information.

Again, all I am saying is be careful when you pursue certain methods. It's not inconceivable that a PM's personal address would be in-game, but since ARG courtesy discourages trying to unmask PM's, this is one of those methods you really don't pursue without a clear reason to do so. And I'm not saying that freaky_janis was posting anyone's home address, anyway. Just saying be careful.

SuperJerms, you're totally right. Think I did it because at the moment I'm happy with everything new I can find, even if it isn't a real clue... In future I'll think harder Very Happy

Ate all my fingernails this morning - really hope something nice is gonna happen tomorrow...

thanks for the info SJ

I didn't know it was discourteous to contact the PM's direct if they left evidence of who they were - just thought it was "fair game"....

learning the rules of ARG etiquette all the time

..... big confession... I did e-mail Jeremey Brooks (at the e-mail address I quoted - not his home one )who hasn't replied coz he thinks I'm very rude and a dork Embarassed

..live & learn.. sorry jez a- won't do it again, and soz to the forum for not following protocol - know now though
