Hi, all. First time here, actually first time doing anything with the ARG community so I'm excited. I'm just wandering if there's anyone getting the phone. In know some people in Scranton, PA, which is quite a ways away but I'm sure they'd be willing to do it if I covered they're cost. I just need to let them know soon. Just so you know this isn't a sure thing.

I'm not sure whether to be intrigued by the ILB references -- on one hand, it's rousing my ILB nostalgia. On the other, I'd hate to see ILB ripped off.

And I wonder where they're going with the Ecclesia/Synagoga pairing.

The site Spaceboy linked to as a reference states:

JHOM wrote:
Ecclesia and Synagoga were the names given to the symbolic personification in medieval Christian art of Christianity's triumph over Judaism. This early type of anti-Jewish propaganda...

<sigh> Rolling Eyes Oh delight.

Oh well, at least Synagoga seems nicer and less, well, b*tchy than Ecclesia.

I emailed him yesterday alerting that his phone may be tapped, and his very short reply said:

Thanks for the concern...I don't think so...I mean just
because my Dad is stationed at mcclellan doesn't mean the services
have our phones tapped....

Mcclellan being, i suppose, this
or more likely this since he's Californian.

I think he means McClellan Air Force Base. It's in Sac. I used to live there. Um.....the city, not the air force base. Smile

I feel the same way. I don't want to see some ILB copycat ARG that's just piggybacking on the success of ILB. That is NOT cool. And I really hope this isn't some immature teenager's cry for help.

We'll just have to wait and see. <sigh>

I think it'll be interesting. Even if it is a ripoff of ILB I think I will stick around to check it out.

Heh, if it's a ripoff of ILB, I'll report it to 4orty 2wo. There's this little thing called copyright.

Of course, right now I think they're doing it more in the spirit than in the letter, but if they are trying to coast on ILB, I'm sure they'll cross the line eventually.

Which means his dad used to be stationed at Camp McCoy (Sparta, Wisconsin) as it's the only AAF in the state.

They always could be using the shared terminology with ILB to grab the attention of us Beekeepers that are hanging around. Guess we will know more tomorrow.

I don't think this ARG is merely copying and/or levying on any sort of fame from our beloved ILB. To me, this seems more like a memoriam to ILB; sort of like a tribute, ne?

Anywho, let's give this a shot and see where this journey takes us. Wink

By the way: I vote Sarah for Guardian Angel Spokesperson '05! She's chatting it up pretty swell with Lenny. Cool

We'll see. There's a difference between "shared terminology" and stealing ideas.
