Nice work Alz, but do you have the corrected 'error' to give us? Or has it already been posted?

Okay, I don't think it's secret anymore.

Going on the assumption that the 215 number is a phone number, I called it. At first, I got an answering machine and left a message. But I had dialed the wrong number.

So I called the correct number, and let it ring about 8-10 times. It then picked up, and gave digital tones like a Fax or a Modem.

Since I don't have the equipment available to test, I was hoping someone who had access to that kind of thing could.

Seems 2600.com used this particular bank of phones as a meeting place once:

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia:
30th Street Amtrak Station at 30th & Market, under the "Stairwell 7" sign. Payphones: (215) 222-9880, 9881, 9779, 9799, 9632; 387-9751.

Anyone from Phily want to check it out?

My cousin lives in Philadelphia. He's not really a player, but he could check it out. I'll give him a call.

BUT wait--haven't we overstepped ourselves? Shouldn't there be a particular time to go, or something?

Not if there's something waiting for us there...?

Now I'm getting paranoid.

I don't know what's going on. I checked my phone, to make sure I dialed the right number before. I know I got a digital tones -- my ear is still ringing.

I hit redial. I let it ring 12 times. It picked up, but there was noone on the other end. After a few seconds, the line went dead.

True, but lets be realistic: we have lives outside of these games. We can't be standing around by a phonebooth all hours waiting for something that may or may not occur.

Hmmm, I might be paranoid as well, but if anyone else is gonna try this number....
I recommend having a recorder ready.
Just a thought, since something different seems to happen each time we call

Ah, yes. I guess I misunderstood. I was thinking of something more like a sign, or object left for us, not an event.
Sorry

I'm just thinking

I left misinformation in the first email, but he responded like we knew what we were doing.
Does this seem normal?
Just wild specualtion as I wait for the next update, as they seem to be happening every thirty seconds.

Its a fast game

I'm sure he wouldn't want to give anything away by acknowledging our mistake.

For all we know, the phone number idea could be a total Herring and he could be laughing at us now.

It does feel a bit weird...getting a payphone phone number but no idea as to when to call it. If it was a personal number, I could understand.

I got a weird feeling. Something's not passing the sniff test.

*and yes, it does seem to be moving pretty quickly
