Just some ideas re: possible phone number:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The tone after several rings could be a number of different things. 1) a fax machine. 2) a "dial-up" connection 3) a TTY/TDD (?) machine for the hearing impaired.

Welllll, most of it is rigth here, documented for ya, so specific questions would help.

Basically, he got two new emails, translated into, well, nothing special (yet).
The addy MIGHT be a phone number, what with the 3sts.com being 3 street station... which HAPPENS to be right by the payphone in question.
Then again, instead of ringing, we're getting a dial tone, thoguh I haven't dialed it myself yet

Lenny's email is lennjamesSPLATgmail.com

O, and it appears Lenny's just gonna be doing short bursts of activity like this, then leave us hanging..... Sad

Thanks! Very Happy

Can someone describe the tone they hear after calling the number?

Bit of speculation - Research has led me to believe that CN stands for 'common name' in E-mail terms - which means that the girl has scanned for her sister's name? I've also found out that FW could mean Fixed Wireless, it can be used for communication and it would fit in.

Okay guys,

before I say ANYTHING I need you all to know that my cousin went down to answer the phone and has never EVER been exposed to I Love Bees before (my jaw practically hit the floor when he told me what he told me). My cousin went to the phone about 2 hours ago, and hung out by it for about 1 hour. It rung and he picked up and said, 'Hello? Are you the one looking for your sister? (I told him to say that)' the reply he received was by a deep-voiced woman who demandedly replied, 'What do you know? Do you know where she is? It is very important that you tell me everything you know.' he relied, 'I don't know...my cousin just told me to come down here and say what I said to whoever called.' she replied, 'Come back Tuesday at 7PM' and with that, she hung up.

That's all I have to report.

Again, thoughts, people?

EXACTLY what time did the phone ring????

We seem to have a new character as well... a deep voiced woman....

well, if this is properly run, Lenny should update soon... lets send him an email, though.

What strikes me is this:
What would *we* have said to her when she asked where she is, or what we know? we're abuot as knowledgable as ur cousin, here

4PM, and we know that it was a live call, so for all we know, we could have said anything and they would've replied. Maybe there wasn't a password to begin with.

its strange. If the payphone ACTUALLY works, why do we get a dial tone?

ALSO that whole "come back at 7" kinda depresses me. If this becomes like ILB, only on a network of, say, three payphones.........
I'm not happy.
Still, I'm excited. I wonder why Lenny hasn't said anything?

ALLLLSO: has anyone tried dialing since then?

Holy cow, now that's way cool!
lol, an ARG-virgin getting a phone call like that and doin'it right - If such a thing would have happende to me in the times when I didn't knew nothing about ARG, I'm pretty sure I would have totally freaked out. Laughing

Well, that probably means that we're not getting major updates until next Tuesday. And we'll have to find someone who can go and answer to the payphone. I hope nontheless that Lenny will come out with something for us to do while waiting for Tuesday night...

Woo, post 100!

While we're waiting for our good friend Lenny to give us somethin to do in the meantime (as in, a puzzle that doesn't cause a five minute race for the facts before shutting down... aw, that was mean) maybe an
admin
could actually assign this to its own ARG section?
I mean... it was on ARGn the first day it appeared... and now its a possible?

BTW, I guess I sometimes come across as mean about the whole Lenny not posting thing... but (in game:) he has a lot to deal with and (out of game:) well.... he has a lot to deal with runnin an arg anyway.

I called it at about the top of the hour, 9pm, and it just kept ringing. I let it ring close to 20 times before hanging up.

I've been following along, and I'd like to join in, but I don't want to start calling some weird phone and leaving my number. That just sounds like an invitation for fraud.

I hope I can get involved. If anyone running the ARG is reading this, get some contacts to NW Ohio. =) For everyone else, I'm glad I could hop in on the ground floor. =)

Are we supposed to call and leave our numbers at the station pay phone? I'm gonna go ahead and admit that I don't understand too much of waht happened. 3 new emails, two were in hex right? They were asking for help...right again? Where we stand, there was a live call to the pay phone in Philly? Now someone in Philly has to be at the phone at 7 pm next tuesday?
Tj-
Ps- Definetly ILB parallels*sp* and remember the whole Feb 8th thing? It was a hoax about H2 credits. Ya it's fake and all, but it is possible that that's where the idea came from, because it's just about that time now...
ALSO! I just sent Lenny a lengthy letter, explaining Dana's problems and a few other helpful questions and answers for him...stay tuned for a reply, if there is one.
