KILL SPEC: We missed Orunmila the first time around.

In reality,
There is no puzzle solving why reason we found the doorstep.

So, today we found Orunmila, in images we had soon after the first
NuminousTrail email. Emailling that address, we're autoresponded with
a message that we FIRST saw in the SECOND email to Dale@syn;
Quote:

you contacted us

asked if we might be able to help

the questions you have raised

the answers and meaning that you seek to find

echo and resonate throughout time and in us all; for those who see, a path appears to follow

"ex lux in tenebris lucet" - and the light shineth in the darkness. enter the mythosphere

That second email to Dale@syn also asks "is this what you need?"

My spec is that they were offering Dale/US the content of the Orunmila email, since having gotten to the doorstep.jpg without it, we'd most likely never find Orunmila.
That or they didn't think that Dale/US would ever find Orunmila and this was a kick in the ass.

This still leaves the massive step from Orunmila, and the Et Lux email to the Doorstep.jpg.

We stumbled foward onto that, and have yet to find the connection.

I think we should focus more on the response from the guides@mytho.

The reason our 'early' emailing of guides@mytho might not have raised red flags, was because it was an autoresponder (we all got the same reply) and the Mythos/PM's were checking Orunmila, waiting for us.

take a giant step

So it makes sense that we would find orunmila from the four sources - but NOT the planetary order. So, the sequence would be

mythosphere discovery -> four guides jpgs and associated sources -> find of orunmila -> figure out to send letter to orunmila@mythosphere -> get the reply and then a miracle happens and we get the clue about the planet page -> on to the doorstep and see the pics again.

When the miracle occurs, there might be intervening page(s) that we haven't yet seen. that might help round out the puzzle.

perhaps the mythosphere email ("Every journey begins with one small step, the catalyst to change inertia to momentum. The length of the journey depends upon the direction of the second step.") is just a clue for solving the planetary puzzle, in a way we haven't figured because the puzzle was solved too quickly and no one bothered.
someone said that doorstep.jpg is stegged, what happened with that? was it a false alert or what?

Did some research on the filler text...

It is jibberish, but the jibberish is derived from an ancient text from
Cicero entitled "De Finibus Bonorum Et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good
and Evil) circa 45 A.D.

This site has a good explanation and also has the translation of the
original text which is rather interesting...it has to do with pleasure
and pain...
