One point I should bring up, in regards to the sci-fi aspect, is that the show takes place in a modern and realistic/pseudorealistic world, not anything too 'out there' like the future or anything.

Haven't been keeping up with this. Shame on me, posting this and then dropping it, right? Embarassed

Its understandable when people say certain themes of a fantastical nature, like time travel for example, undermine the purpose of an ARG in that it is supposed to take place in our reality appropriately. However, surely many people had similar perspectives unto the concept of an ARG when it all began, yet the genre was explored anyway and now look what it has become. Maybe such subjects should be adapted into ARGs some time, with a similar outcome hopefully Smile

So I think most people are O.K. with ARGs from the future. Smile
