I keep forgetting to post in here and link to this. But now I have remembered. Here are the too few pictures I took from the Hivemeet .

man, this is definitely something that pushed the need for a license and car higher up on my priority list... I missed sooo much... *sigh* oh to go back in time for a 2nd chance to go but I'll stop talking now, I say the same thing every time I post in here

GO KNIGHTS! WOO!
All kidding aside, they've actually reprogrammed the scrolling bus headers that show the route to flash "GO KNIGHTS GO!" every 3 or 4 seconds. Even if you're not a big hockey fan (ahem, me for instance) it's hard to NOT feel some enthusiasm when the finals are in your town and the home team is winning.
On topic, that crawl's vaguely reminiscent of the street/transfer tickers inside CTA buses, actually. Yeah, Hivemeet kinda dominates the thoughts for a while. Hope to see you at the next one. (Hope to *be* at the next one, whenever it is... but time and budget may not permit.)
-- Steve remembers the slight start he had when the CTA bus started talking... oh great and powerful street dispenser...

I always love when the CTA guy says, "This ... is Grand!" on the Blue Line.
Which is why this website kicks butt.

Krystyn - Have you ever come across this site?

I can read it for hours and end up with a belly ache from laughing so much.
Which reminds me. I need to post my story about a can opener and pseudo-body cavities.

Yes
Craigslist is also a good place to find some great Chicago stories, as well -- Rants and Raves and Missed Connections have lots of crap posted to them, but there's gems hidden if you look hard enough.
ETA: I swear this was not me.

We can all move into that creepy mansion of the widow of Remington who believed she was haunted by the souls of those killed by his guns, so she had to keep building onto the mansion or they'd kill her.
That'd be sweet.

You mean, the widow Remington was haunted by the souls of those killed by Winchester guns?
