Yes, do NOT trust Brigid. Do not tell/email Brigid. We are not working with her, that would be just like handing him over to Sable and Shuck itself.

I also think the Eilean Mor link could stand some more investigating. Part of the Flannan Isles, or Seven Hunters, thought to be haunted by supernatural creatures and the dead. Eilean Mor is known as the Island of the Dead. There is also a major legend about three lighthouse keepers who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, for what it's worth. But clearly, a supernatural starting point to work with. History is here. An interesting point that I noticed, though it's only possibly related: the lighthouse keepers disappeared on 15 December 1900. 15 December also being the feastday of St. Flann, who has a chapel built to him on the island. The number is so prominently associated with Eilean Mor, I wonder if it will be useful?

To clear up confusion about the phone messages, there are TWO numbers.

The number from the man saying we are too late is:
07941 520789 and is the number dialed on the phone voice male in the hiding room.
The number that gives us a message from Jon is:
07861 328892 and is found on the back of the picture on the desk, after entering the 1st number at the mezzanine door.
Hope that clears up any confusion.Very Happy

I think it is literally just another reference to childhood memories, I for one always remember having a real fir tree at xmas, nowadays we always have artificial ones, I think the key is going to be in the misspelling

are these the memories that he handed over to S+S?
or are they memories he hid from S+S in case something went wrong and he still wanted them?

what is the best way to remember your memories? write them down...

i guess he did that just on the back of the photo..

now he lost his childhoodmemories to sable&shuck, but somehow left clues for him to be reminded of them....

that is what i think is the meaning of the text...and ofcourse there are clues....

Memories

My bet is that these are memories he had to give to S+S, but knew that he would want/need to remember. Interestingly, though, if these are the memories he gave S+S, to wonder why they took those memories specifically. I think they /would/ choose memories that would be very useful to him-or that taken away, would hurt Jon..

Who is Jessica?

the new phone number doesnt work on the contract or the door. to my knowledge all it does is gives you a message if you dial it.

about the fir/fur theory, he didnt write fur....

he is just "attaching" letters to each other... dont know the name for that writing in english.....

and BETAMAX...... i know that it is a kind of filmcameratape.......

did his father film their xmasses? could it be a way that we get an old film about Jon???? im just wildguessing now....

Quote:
Sony's "Betamax" is the 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) home videocassette tape recording format derived from the earlier, professional 19.1 mm (0.75 inch) U-matic video cassette format. Like the video home recording system VHS, it had no guard band, and used azimuth recording to reduce cross-talk. The "Betamax" name is said to derive from the Japanese phrase beta gaki (raw + write), however, as a pun, the designed trademark incorporated the Greek letter "beta"; Sanyo marketed its version as the "Betacord", but it, too, was referred to as "Beta."

damn, now we get an extra greek letter: Beta
is this a clue????????

Quote:
The Betamax cassette is smaller than the VHS cassette, and the format is said to produce a sharper picture, although the difference lessened as both technologies progressed. Other claimed advantages included a straighter tape path through the machine, making start-up faster after inserting the cassette, though that was not intrinsic to the format, and the transitions from "play" to "fast forward" or to "rewind" were faster, but only because (unlike in VHS format) the tape was not first unthreaded from the mechanism, thus leading to greater tape wear during fast winding. A little-used capability of the Betamax format was recording in audio-only mode. By using the entire bandwidth for sound, the helical scanning recording head of the videotape technology allowed for very high-fidelity reproduction compared to normal, stationary-head audio tape recorders.

this is all about it...... but where is it for?

no, i think we mean 'what if there is a hidden code on the back of the photo'.

that could be used as a password.

Yeah, it may just be in the words. I mean, we're googling like mad, but have we gotten anywhere from that thus far? It seems like all the solves are from in-game. But I could be crazy.

I'm sure there's got to be a password to Jon's contract somewhere in there.

Just thinking... let's say these are the childhood memories he sold/traded..
When I go back in the game, The childhood memories are mentioned at S+S's, in Jon's receipt.
Could it be that within these writings lies the password for the last piece of the puzzle refering to the contract?..
