[Halo 2] Evade3 Appearing Offline

I'm not trying to get anyone angry or step on anyone's toes but I have a few questions. I already understand a few reasons why Evade3 chooses to appear offline and make their own rooms when everyone is being loud, but yesterday was different. I received an invite from FauxHammer asking me to join Evade3s game, so I messaged him back asking if he could ask everyone if it where alright if I brought the other three Beekeepers that I had in the room with me alone. A few minutes later he messaged me back saying that it was fine and if anyone got annoying they would just be booted. So, I joined and brought everyone with me. We played one game with you and one Evade3 member left, then every one of you left, joined up with the other people from the party, appeared offline, and left us Beekeepers high and dry. We weren't being loud or obnoxious and the only time I was annoying was when I was giving FauxHammer a hard time about liking an elimination game. So I want to know what's up because I'm starting to get a felling that Evade3 doesn't want to have anything to do with The Beekeepers. I mean we join for one game and don't do anything that was told to us that makes Evade3 members want to leave the current party, create their own, and then appear offline. If it was for a clan match then you should have been courteous and told us, we would have left. If one of us somehow pissed one of you off you should have booted them or at least told us to shut the hell up. I mean come on every game I enter to play with you guys you just up and leave all of us Beekeepers out to dry. I thought I was a friend of yours, now I'm starting to think otherwise.

There's no clan vs. clan discrepencies or anything, the truth of the matter is that a lot of us slipped out of the party for a break and then started playing again after about 10 or 15 minutes. It probably would've been wiser to say something about it, but it was too difficult to get any word in edgewise anyway, and a lot of us were feeling frustrated and irritated, so it probably would've come out very drama queen-esque anyway, which wouldn't have helped anything. It wasn't anything personal, we just needed a break, and appearing offline was a way to sort of ensure that.

Still, you should have at least messaged one of us about it. This is starting to become an increasing regularity. Also, some of us take it harder than others when Evade3 does this, I get pissed but, others in our clan get frustrated and depressed. I'm one of them that take it more lightly than others.

Well I'm certainly sorry for that. I can say in honesty that I don't typically do things like that (mostly because I haven't played as much as I used to, and am just getting back into the swing of things), but I'm pretty sure that I can speak for the other members when I say that upsetting the other beekeepers is nowhere near the intent of the actions. So I'm sorry.

I wasn't one of the ones that left last night, but I have been one of those my fair share of times. There is one thing I'd like to note, then I'll make a suggestion.

Note: As ThaJinx mentioned there isn't a disrespect for The Beekeepers clan members. In my humble opinion all ILBers are on equal ground, but there is a rather noticable difference in the types of games, and the mood of said games, between the two clans. In no way do I intend to imply that one type or preferance is better then the other, they are just different.

So, yes, at times the Evade crew will probably want to go play some clan games, just to fill our need for laid back, no worries, type gaming, and I'm sure The Beekeepers crew will have to take a break from us and go whoop up on some unsuspecting clan on occasion.

This is where the suggestion comes in...

Before I appear to be pointing any fingers I want to admit that I am probably the WORST offender, and I will be doing my best to take this advice to heart. If you're going to leave a game, wether you be an E^3er or a Beekeeper, please comment on the fact that you're leaving so no one feels left out.

I will do my best to be as honest as possible, and I'd ask that we all be understanding. I mean come on, we're a hive for goodness sakes.

Ah, but where is your Queen Bee? Razz

Well, I'm not going to publicize her gamertag, but last I checked she was still around.

Oh, and I frequently appear offline. But that's because I frequently put my status on "appear offline" when I just want to play campaign and not appear rude by ignoring invites, and I usually forget to change it back when I do go on Live.

I wasn't around for the game in question, but that's what's up with me. It has nothing to do with my desiring to avoid anyone.

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but you do know you can play campaign without signing into Live at all, right? Smile

I agree with angelo.

E^3 plays a laid back game, they play a laid back game. A quiet... laid back game.

When THe Beekeepers plays a laid back game, the game gets louder with more conversations the more people join. while the general objective and tone of the game is still laid back, the noise, and competitivness reaches hgher levels.
Not that this is bad. But i consider a laid back game a game where Matt Doesn't snipe me at my spawn point 3x in a row, while remaining un focused and talking with 2 other people at once.

But yeah, there is no clan disputes that I am aware of, implied or otherwise. I just think some people are taking this situation a bit seriously. (tries to hide his whiny post in the live thread Embarassed )

It's fun to play together.

Actually, when it comes to Live, our queen bee is really Krystyn, if you think about it.

Tonight was pretty great as far as the games went. Everybody seemed to get along fine. Hopefully, we can put this little enmity behind us.

I humbly agree. My whole purpose to this post was to let everyone know how certain actions affect others, that they don't see/hear when they leave the game. There's one person in particular that I made this post for because I know he takes just about every thing as a personal shot. It just gets me upset to see a friend upset but, alls well now so let's put all of this behind us.

(Don't ask why I posted so late, it was as soon as I could tare myself away from Halo 2)

I'm part of E^3 and I did my share of leaving without warning, but I'm never offline!

To be fair, I've seen this happening a lot with non-E^3 members as well ... I'll start saying at least good bye when I'm leaving a game ...
