[BUG] Email alerts I got a couple of emails this morning alerting me to new postings in threads I've replied to. Nothing weird about that you may think, apart from the fact that one of them was not addressed to FleaSick, but to Krystyn!
Voila:
I had replied in that thread, so it's not like I'm getting mail that was meant to be for Krystyn, but something weird is definitely afoot...

That is very weird. Has anyone else noticed their notifications being ill-named or is it just Fi screwing up the system ( )?

So there are actually people using that option?
It would sure be fun to have that enable on the General forum from Haunted Apiary

What, you are trying to upgrade your user status in gmail???
You like opening up your email account to find 118 messages there every morning?
Are you insane?

I reckon it'd be cool to have a kind of newsletter with all the days posts from a certain forum in a nice and clearly laid out email. It'd take less time to read them then logging on here. Although maybe you're right about the bees Cather!

I must be guilty of messing up too. I've gotten email notifications addressed to a bunch of different people. And 1 with my name on it.

It figures... the one (and I mean ONE) thing that I DON'T write about, but thought about, in like the last week, and it's the one thing that I'm not experiencing alone!
But yes, I've gotten "post watching" emails that say "Hello, X"
(where X=anyone+their mother)
And while I've never gotten one from a thread I didn't post in, I've gotten them sometimes from threads I hadn't posted in for a long while... Hope it helps!

I get this bug too.
I have seen similar problems to this in online systems before where it's a threading issue. In this example, there may be a shared variable for the email name over multiple threads. Different threads are trying to send the email and the second thread comes in and overwrites the name data in the first email that would have been sent had the threads executed consecutively instead of concurrently.
I hope that makes sense.

Just to clarify, at the bottom of these emails, does it say you're receiving it because you are watching a topic or because you are watching a forum ? Or both? Also, do all the wrong usernames happen to be moderators by any chance?
