SPOILER - Planetary Clicky Maze solution

Let's number them from blue Neptune on top around clockwise to Saturn:

Neptune = 1
Venus = 2
Mars = 3
Sun = 4
Moon (maybe Pluto) = 5
Mercury = 6
Uranus = 7
Jupiter = 8
Saturn = 9

Now if you click various things you find two features - start with the sun and you get a "click" that doesn't seem to do much - MAYBE a white flash (depending how fast your browser is). Click Saturn next - you'll see a "reset" like it's reloading the page.

What you want is to go around in order so that all planets "click":

Click in order: 4 5 8 7 6 2 1 9 3

Then you get a final page with a new cryptogram.

I'll post that in the next message.

Wow, I never would've even looked to see which clicked and which refreshed. My browser must be kinda slow because both look the same to me (damn Microsoft products). All of them look like they are reloading. Was there a big difference for you on a faster browser?

for those who find a graphical explanation of the solution easier to understand, i've made a simple picture telling you the order you should click the planets.

the questions you have raised

the answers and meaning that you seek to find

echo and resonate throughout time and in us all; for those who see, a path appears to follow

"ex lux in tenebris lucet" - and the light shineth in the darkness. enter the mythosphere

The text after the Latin is the correct translation (minus "enter the mythosphere)

I'm assuming since we are on the "doorstep", the subject is "unanswered invitation" and the last words are "enter the mythosphere" that we have to find a way in.

And we may not have much time: "doorways are ephemeral" ( lasting a very short time )

Okay, I can follow that pattern and get to that "doorstep.jpg" page.
However, in trying to see the "click" myself (without redirect), I'm just not seeing it. And why would the planets be out of any solar system order. Doesn't make sense.

SPEC: The doorstep.jpg page is a red herring. We have a puzzle to solve and haven't done it properly yet. We have found "a" path, but maybe not the real path??

planetary puzzle filenames?

i think something is encoded in the filenames of the puzzle:

6972ef34xxem96w42sl
6t47ye13rfgv7665r90
6x20ks51lpws20pt387
7b66ex21pirg7g498sd
7e88oo43tito4834f66
7u71gw82polk312ry53
7y29to51ddfc30p9it7
8t67no54msqv12l055i
9i38yg71diys36y32e4

the same pattern is visible in all filenames - the first eight characters are either letters or digits, the next four are ALWAYS letters, and the last six are either letters or digits too. there are also some words occuring in the four-letter portions:

were, toad, mist, pool, jpeg(!), note, gift, push, meet

there are three types of files: the first type contains one of the guide pictures (their names begin uniformly with "mx", but otherwise follow the four-letter pattern in the middle), the second type contains only a javascript that redirects to a random file picked from a set, and the third type contains the image with the planets. i'll separate them and post the sets of filenames.

The cryptogram

The cryptogram on the doorstep page reads:

"The meaning behind the myth give us a way to contact you

'guides'

Can anyone do anything with that?

mythosphere page

it's two sentences, just like it is on the page. The second line is

give us a way to contact you.

We've written to guidesSPLATmythosphere.org and gotten a reply (not an automated one).

They want Dale. He contacted them.

I get this creepy Hellraiser vibe when you put it that way.
