i edited my post, sorry.... i checked the wrong e-mail!
try entering Peel castle Isle of Man again
(wasn't Jon's video message sent about an hour after 21:00 Friday 28th january?)
Brigid is most definitely the man in black as far as I can tell.
Wouldn't you weep if the devil came and found you?

As i said i emailed brigid, also wondering about why he wept, he was only a few moths gone, so i'm hoping to get Brigid to reveal some clue or whatever...
I do think we have to continu our search fo the book of star, the only problem is, so far, from the recent clues, i didn't get more information about either the contract, the door or the S+S aqcuisition...
Maybe we should look at the recent clues from a different perspective, or we should wait on an update about one of these subjects...
I'm a bit lost on what to do, yeah you're right

Hmm, i also got the first, 'better' email. I have been contemplating the reasons why people got different email responses, and have come up with the following explanations:
1)What placement you told Brigid at (How many people told her before you)
2)The date you told her.
3)Other contact you may have had with her/jon (ie text messages)
4)Highest Score on Sable+Shuck soul test. (notice the unsubscribe link at the bottom contains the same link that you use to unsubscribe from S+S)
I believe i was one of the first couple of people to tell her, as i was online at the time we were told by the first person, and as soon as i heard i checked. I suspect it is this reason more than any other, but if people could help with proving/disproving any of these it would be great

i too was online when it first got found out what the location was.
i got the confirmation e-mail (i'll get back to you), but didn't get todays new e-mail until I re-entered the location, and even then I only got the not-so-good one.
Seems pretty random to me.

Hello Actually, I got the "good" e-mail from Brigid, and I only sent her the loaction (b/c i hesitated in doing so) on the 28th, when she said she had caught up with Jon. So, I don't think I was one of the first ones to send it to her at all.
Maybe we should book a trip to where Jon got the book of star? Where did he get it from again?

Has anyone tried checking their S&S after telling Brigid where to find Jon, with the same email?

I sent the location to Brigid about 3 hours after it was discovered and I got the first email from her...the "thanks for your suggestion..." one. I have not recieved the reward email.
I resubmitted the answer just now and got the not so good reward email right away.

I just submitted the information into HMFJ again, and got the "Thank you for helping me" email. Not the "good" one. And, like Meak I had submitted the information before and got the email.

Hmmm... Should we be tracking who got the "good" e-mail and who got the "not so good" e-mail? Or could it just be weirdly random?

Hi Tinneke, I guess you ar right and that we have to continue our search for the book of star or whatever we need to search. My guess is that Brigid's e-mail is a confirmation that Peel Castle has indeed some relevance for the game.
On another notice I have still been thinking about the back of the photo and the possible anagram (LANDROSE) that can be found there. I have tried Googling Peel Castle with another possibility for this anagram, i.e. SOLAR END.
It appears that SOLAR is a term used in old castles (http://www.britcastles.com/casgloss.htm), while it can also have to do with sundials (http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/iomnhas/lm1p038.htm).
Or maybe SOLAR END can mean the south side of the castle (which faces the sun).
I haven't come up with any clue what to do with this information, though.

What stroke me in Brigid's email is that she says she met her brother on january... but i just checked on this site:
http://www.iomguide.com/peelcastle.php
and it says that peel castle is open to public only from 1st april to 27 october.. two relevant dates in the game: 1st april, first date of the cache, and 27th october (well almost the last one).
don't know what that means.

Hi I received the good e-mail also. And I put in the good location on monday 31 January. So I don't think it has anything to do with how fast you were to put in the location. I haven't got an e-mail from Brigid that she comes back to me. So I think it's something else...
