Here's some more for you, concerning Anastasia's closing statement to me last night. It was quite strange. She said, "I love you."

Now, I've been thinking about this all day, and I've got some possibilities here. I've been trying to reason out why she would tell me that. One theory is that she said that in the way a child would mean it, because I was being nice to her. That certainly could be it, and that would be very nice.
The other theory that I've got comes from my screen name, DreamOfTheRood. The Dream of the Rood is an old British poem about the crucifixion of Christ, and this theory certainly gains relevance in proportion to the amount of stigmatic references we've been receiving. I think there's a link there, an implication. Am I missing something?

Thoughts?

Or maybe she's hitting on you Wink

I'll refrain from making any comment on this until I understand her reasons.

DreamoftheRood- Thanks. Heh, I have a new nickname.

As for Syn 'hitting on you'... I don't think so. Her mind seems too... Not immature, exactly, but young.

Seej- Yep, you got the symbolism-ness-ness right. DaVinci Code was a fun read, wasn't it?

As always,

I don't know, but the choice of subject matter (Synagoga and Ecclesia, stigmata, and the like) certainly has this recon's attention. If they start tossing out odd greek terms, maybe I can help.

PlanB, mmm... blasphemy...

I don't think so. One, it's too early on, and two the domain is registered with realworldgaming. A commercial project would have it's own domains.

Have been away for two days and catching up all the good work that has been done (Cheers to SaraKiddo, Crowfoot and the rest).

Just to spell out the obvious: now we know that Synagoga and Ecclesia really refer to the medieval symbolism, it also clarifies why Ecclasia calls Synagoga the impersoning of sin and why she is 'guarding' her.

Apparently, but that is only my guess, since we players have tried eagerly to become friends with Synagoga, this would mean to Ecclesia that we are converting to the wrong faith and that therefore, we should be warned against the will of God.

Would it be sensible for hdkl (or for anybody else) to e-mail back to Ecclesia that we are Christians, and that therefore we are not in the process of losing our faith. Further, it may be pointed out that it is also part of the Christian religion to love your enemies (like Jesus Christ did?).

Would that bring our understanding of Ecclesia any further?

actually I disagree with you that they are literal translations of the medieval symbolism read the long hidden text on /moses and the text on /jude. It appears to be more of a pseudo science experiment highly infused with religous overtones but not neccesarily a conflict between christians and jews.

Agreed, I think it's more a flavor of the character of Eccleastia (sp?) than anything. The fact that she sees herself in these roles and all.

Also, the page that Syn had contained a trail. Did we exhaust everything with Cle's page?

I'm pretty sure there isn't a trail with Ecl. Notice her web page says goodbye, The stigmata page says that a wise man chooses right, and Syn is on the center statues right. Also if you notice the center statue is actually pointing to Syn. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that there is no trail with Ecl image.

1962. main thing that year was the Second Vatican Council. probably the biggest upheaval of catholism.

http://www.press.uillinois.edu/f01/feldman.html

Quote:
A new era of Catholic-Jewish relations opened in 1962 with Vatican II's Nostra Aetate, No. 4. A blueprint for a radical transformation of the Catholic relationship to the Jews, this document brought about a reversal of the theology of contempt, a deemphasis on converting Jews to Christianity, and a determination to initiate constructive dialogue between Catholics and Jews.

a bit relevant really to the theme of church and judaism

I think Ecclesia is using it as a metaphor/filter for herself in order to get a handle on her feelings. Besides, as I mentioned before, not everyone here is christian...

I sent an e-mail off to Eccleastia saying this

Quote:
I am hkdl0521, just hkdl by friends, and Alphabet as named by Syn. I
am curious about her, I would like to know why you think she is so
evil, she seems so innocent to us. We are simply looking to understand
what is going on here, and looking to help.

Thanks,

hkdl

Here is the response I just got

Quote:
AlphaBet,

Coming to me for answers is certainly a sign that you truly aren't
meant to see what I wish to show you. I must show you the error of
this being's ways, not tell them to you. If you want me to tell you
something, then in your next e-mail ask me to read you a bedtime
story.

-Eccleastia

So I jsut sent this back.

Quote:
Then I ask you Eccleastia, please read me a bedtime story.

Alphabet.

Interesting, now I'm just waiting on a response.

missing out on all the chatting goodness recently, i sent an email off to E

Quote:
Dear Miss Eccleastia,

I hope you can forgive me for emailing you out of the blue, but ive
been following your involvement with someone called Synagoga. im
wondering how you care for her, and if theres anything we can do to
aid this process, as its clear you are fond of her (as i am) by giving
her a cat.

Also, if the second vatican council is anything to go by, in terms of
metaphor, where the Church started the process of reconcilliation
towards the Jews, (basically, it meant they werent evil) could this be
something we can all learn from?

Synagoga said that you wanted General Macarthur to have a nickname.
Has she chosen one for him yet?

regards, and looking forward to hearing from you.

then i got this back!
