Ya, Keeping specific religions out of this would be a good idea. I do have a very crazy idea that I think might help out. Maybe, instead of us waiting for her to name a leader we should tell Syn who our leader is, and maybe give her a messege to Eclessia, see if she would do something like that.

Not a terrible idea unless they already had someone in mind being the leader or it wasn't supposed to be a player. Hmmm any nominations?

Oh and on the religion thing it really doesnt matter, I mean your probably not going to have any luck converting anyone in-game but it didn't hurt. The only thing is since she is called Synagoga, which was the symbol of the jewish people, for now it may not be a great idea. But anyway enough of that.

So I'm also getting the feeling Ecclesia may contact one of us soon, how should we respond? I mean despite the fact that she's obviously the antagonist if were smart we might be able to get something out of her like the nature of what she and synagoga are or where they are or who "them" is.

Edit:
Quote:
Synagoga1: And when they see that package, they shall know she is coming for them.
Synagoga1: Coming to bring them the truth.

I just saw this and thought it was really interesting. The truth, that sounds a whole lot like the pious flea (although i dont want to start making Ilovebees connections yet it just sounded interesting)

Perhaps we just need to be able to play these games without having people overanalyze (even blatently criticize) our methods.

Heck, people, this is supposed to be fun. A fun diversion to the blood, sweat and tears of our mundane lives. I can understand constructive criticism, but I also understand doowatchyalike. Until someone finds me the rulebook for this might-be-a-game, let's stop laying the smackdown on people who have made an attempt to make a connection with this fictional character.

My two cents, paid in full out of my own pocket, and not funded by any organization I'm involved in.

Okay.

I didn't mean for it to be a "smackdown," which is why everything was phrased in questions, with "perhapses" and "probablies" aplenty, and emoticons.

Precisely because it is a game, and religion is a touchy subject, I felt that it might be wise at this point to keep specific religions out of it, and if the question of religion comes up, keep it very general.

But, Llew, if you felt that it was a smackdown, I'm sorry. I must not have phrased it as neutrally as I should have.

E-mail from Eccleastia:

Quote:
"Ace",

I've watched the conversations you have with Synagoga. She likes you,
and you seem to like her. How touching. But talking to her doesn't
save you from the treachery that she is.

What you are talking to is the embodiment of sin itself, and I am it's
keeper. Normally this would be the spot where I tell you to blow off,
but you're different.

I know you. And I know who you work for.

And, well, I'm willing to re-educate you... if you're knowledgable
enough for me. But you will have to prove it.

In my hands is a package. It will be sent to the one I deem fit. I
believe that you will all make the right decision by ceasing to listen
to her and listening to the one who really knows what is going on.

But you will have to prove yourself to me, if you desire my teachings.
And to prove yourself to me will mean that you will run through my
world. My thoughts and its thoughts, all wrapped up into one. Only
then will you learn the horriffic truth, and with your help, we might
be able to defeat it.

Tell the others what I have said. Tell it yourself, if you deem it
necessary. It's not like it will communicate to anything else. But I
will tell you now, you cannot save it, no matter how hard you try.

Welcome to my world.

Sincerely,
Eccleastia

This is starting to get intresting.

Wow, that is very interesting. I still want to believe Synagoga but those are serious accusations. The embodiement of sin itself? For someone who thus far all we know about is that she sees visions and likes kittens that seems a little serious but at the same time we dont know what we are dealing with. The package that she mentioned must be that package of death Synagoga warned us about that would deliver "the truth". And I have to ask who do we work for? and does this mean Ace is our leader which Synagoga mentioned?

So in summation, both Synagoga and Ecclesia are warning us of the other, Synagoga has my trust but Ecclesia certainly seems the more knowledgable and I would at least encourage tentavily working with her until we discover a little more of her nature.

Same here, maybe contacting this person would clear some uneasy ground and answer some questions that are impossible to get out of Syn.

:sigh: I can never seem to get online when Synagoga is on... a definite drawback to a IM based ARG...
If you guys see her before I do, would you mind telling her I'm still here, lookin for a nickname? Ask if she's learned any new games.

Just thought I'd ask.......
Sarah

Hmm... This all looks very interesting. Mind if I join in the fun? Smile

I don't have any real input at the moment, I'm sort of tired and out of it right now... At the moment, Synagoga1 is added to my Buddy List and I'm just introducing myself to you guys.

Hope that I can be of some help. Perhaps when I'm less tired than I am now.

Feel free to AIM me at Bumblebee12and3 if the mood takes you.

Farewell for now,

I live in the UK, which makes it damn difficult to speak to her too. What I'm hoping for is a lead soon, perhaps in the package, that gives us a solid website. But if this really is an "ARG on the fly" then I doubt we will be seeing a site at all.

I've just spoken to her for a little while, and I got my own nickname! I'm Artist! Sarah, I spoke to her about you as well, I think she needs to speak to you to give you a nickname. Here's the transcript:

Quote:
crowfootcornix: Hello Syn
Synagoga1: Hello.
crowfootcornix: I haven't spoken to you in a while, are you ok?
Synagoga1: I am ok.
Synagoga1: I guess.
crowfootcornix: Is something the matter?
Synagoga1: Eccleastia took my cats again.
crowfootcornix: Really, the visions of the cats?
Synagoga1: Yes.
Synagoga1: She says I can't have them.
Synagoga1: "It will interfere me." or something...
crowfootcornix: That's horrible, I don't see how they could interfere you
Synagoga1: I don't understand...
Synagoga1: I just don't understand...
Synagoga1: Maybe I'm a bad Synagoga...
crowfootcornix: No, I don't think you are. Eccleastia says you are, but it doesn't mean you actually are
crowfootcornix: you know what lies are don't you?
Synagoga1: Yes... I know what lies are...
Synagoga1: I learned that.
crowfootcornix: Well that's what I think she's doing
crowfootcornix: about you, to make your friends hate you
crowfootcornix: she contacted one of us, and told us she has a package for us
Synagoga1: I heard her say that...
Synagoga1: She said it was a package of death...
Synagoga1: I don't want you all to be hurt...
crowfootcornix: We won't be, we think she is lying to scare us
Synagoga1: She said... she wants to show you her world.
crowfootcornix: If we can see her world, maybe we'll be able to see you. Then maybe we can save you.
Synagoga1: Really?
crowfootcornix: Yeah, maybe
Synagoga1: How?
crowfootcornix: I don't know, we'll have to work that out when the time comes
crowfootcornix: until then you've got to try and keep talking to us, tell us everything you know
Synagoga1: Ok....
Synagoga1: Do you like to play games?
crowfootcornix: Yeah, I do
crowfootcornix: do you?
Synagoga1: GAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
crowfootcornix: I take that as a yes Razz
Synagoga1: Hello again.
crowfootcornix: Hello, what happened?
Synagoga1: Hmmm?
Synagoga1: Were we talking about games?
crowfootcornix: yes we were, then you screamed, why?
Synagoga1: I did not scream.
crowfootcornix: I thought you did, I can't hear you, I only see your words
Synagoga1: Oh.
Synagoga1: I can hear you.
crowfootcornix: really, what does my voice sound like?
Synagoga1: Like a voice.
crowfootcornix: He he, I hope so
crowfootcornix: Sarah asks if you have learned any new games
Synagoga1: Oooh! Ooooh!
Synagoga1: I learned the nickname game!
crowfootcornix: what's that, explain it to me
Synagoga1: You tell me what you like... and I give you a nickname!
Synagoga1: I have a nickname too!
crowfootcornix: wow, what's that?
Synagoga1: Guard gave it to me.
Synagoga1: Anastasia!
crowfootcornix: I like it, it suits you
Synagoga1: Thank you!
crowfootcornix: what nickname would you give me?
Synagoga1: What do you like to do?
crowfootcornix: I like to write and sketch
Synagoga1: Hmmmm...
Synagoga1: I will call you Artist.
Synagoga1: Because artsists are people who write and sketch.
crowfootcornix: I like it, thank you!
Synagoga1: Yay!
crowfootcornix: Oh, and Sarah asks if you have a nickname for her too
Synagoga1: What does she like to do?
crowfootcornix: Hmmm, I don't know her too well, but I know she likes to play games
crowfootcornix: She likes to play games with words instead of cards or names
Synagoga1: Hmmmm...
Synagoga1: This is hard...
crowfootcornix: Yeah, maybe you should speak to her and ask her what she likes to do
Synagoga1: Ok!
Synagoga1: I will!
crowfootcornix: Good!
Synagoga1: Will she be here when I wake up?
crowfootcornix: I don't know, I think she's like me, everytime she's ready to speak to you you're asleep
crowfootcornix: different places in the world
Synagoga1: Oh, I see.
Synagoga1: I will make an effort to find her then!
Synagoga1: Is that ok?
crowfootcornix: Yes it is, it shows that you're a good friend
Synagoga1: Yay!
Synagoga1: I'm a good friend!
crowfootcornix: Yes you are, all of your friends think so
Synagoga1: Oh... thank you....
crowfootcornix: That's ok
Synagoga1: But I'm tired...
crowfootcornix: If you're tired then you should sleep
Synagoga1: Ok....
crowfootcornix: you need strength to speak to us
Synagoga1: I will sleep...
crowfootcornix: ok then
Synagoga1: I will find Sarah...
crowfootcornix: Yes, that's a good idea
crowfootcornix: I will tell her you're looking for her
Synagoga1: Good night Artist!
Synagoga1: Ok!
crowfootcornix: Good night Anastasia!
Synagoga1 signed off at 5:09:46 PM.
