So, in order to allow for some proper planning & excitement, I'm going to make the executive decision. And because catherwood hasn't done the Tapas thing & I am quite the fan...

Wednesday submeet I WILL be going to watch the award ceremony on Wednesday. If you all aren't too busy afterwards, I would like to chat and eat and drink with you after that too. Let me know (PM if you like). (I am trying to figure a way to get pita to go too... Can the registered viewing public bring guests to the ceremony?)
Also, I will make sure an email regarding Friday goes out via the SF axon-hunter list. (If one hasn't already)

I've heard a rumor that BrianEnigma will be in town on Tuesday as well, and will be doing the drinkering thing with imbri. Maybe if they do the Irish pub thing that night, i'll make make a 2nd trip north just to shake his hand. Oh so tempting...

We definitely need to go out afterwards on Wed & celebrate! (celebrate good times, come on! ... hey, it's late and i'm just a mass of crispy fried brain bits so I'm allowed to sing cheesy songs out of tune)
And say it ain't so... two nights w/catherwood?!?! Could I be so lucky?

Looky looky:
http://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2005/03/01_ilovebees.shtml
"A new exhibit at the University of California, Berkeley's Worth Ryder Gallery will serve up clues about how 10 million gamesters around the world got hooked on a mystery game called "Ilovebees" that sent them sleuthing through real and virtual worlds."
"The exhibit will be open March 8-14 (Tuesday through Friday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Coincidentally, the 2005 Game Developer Conference in San Francisco will run March 7-11."
So if you're at the GDC and want to visit the East Bay for this, take BART from to the Berkeley station, which is a couple of blocks from the bottom of campus.
Here's Kroeber Hall:

Thank you, missphinx, for posting that.

Hey guys,
Elan and crew wanted me to let you know that, while they won't be able to join us on Friday night, they'll still be around on Thursday afternoon. I hate for this to become more complicated, but would you guys like to set up a time on Thursday afternoon to get together casually?

um. darn.
Well, I will send out an email, but I have a few questions.
1. Does this mean we won't be doing anything on Friday? I mean, honestly, PMs are nice and all, but I like you guys too!
2. Did Elan & friends mention a time/place? Afternoon sounds like 1 pm to 5 pm to me, not exactly dinner & drinks.
3. Should we make a reservation for the Thirsty Whatever for Thursday(see question 2)? Or when they mean casual, does that mean they have to be skedaddling pretty quickly?

Oh, I'd say this is in addition to Friday night, if enough folks can make it to make it worth doing.

Cool. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it for Thursday. I took the afternoon off in order to be there Friday at a reasonable time, and packed on the work for Thursday. At least I should get to see them from the audience on Wednesday.
