hey did anyone find any clues in the Demo? I think there might be something in the casefiles, but I have to go back and look.

By the way, Im not sure if this will prove helpful, but since Still Lifes plot takes place in Chicago, there may be clues specific to the city in the future. I live here and cant help but to think "what if they went so far as to put something up in the city, like a billboard?" It would be great to see a real life clue or something. If anything comes up I'll be sure to check it out Wink

it's been a while since new clues have come up.

Does anyone out there have something new to add ?
Or maybe somebody tried to tie up the clues that have been found so far, and made a connection?

I think it is great with all these brilliant minds in here Very Happy

I have read all posts in here and in other forums, and i think personally, that the very best place to look is on the pictures/paintings that are on the screenshots. But i just can't figure out how the connection is made.
"Silence is golden"
What does that mean ?

It's sooo Go damn hard, but still so God damn cool.

Maybe we need to be patient. The game isn't out for another month and a half.

when will the game be out?

Well, some people thought things would pick up the 1st of March, and I don't know about that, I haven't seen it yet, but Patrick the site admin over at the Still Life forums alluded to something happening on the 10th and I've been betting that that's when this really starts.

That being said, I'm emailing Lombartech about a virus I just heard about. Worth a shot.

Oh, and since some of us are on both this forum and that, I'll just say that I use this name over there too. Less confusion that way.

Have I missed something somewhere? I know about lombartech.com, but that statement makes it sound like there are others out there. Because otherwise, all we've gotten is one website that just teases us. Yes, it might have been mentioned a month before any of us found the site, but I'm of the belief that the blog was by someone who knew about the ARG firsthand (and thats the reason the post can only be found on a cache).

[wishful thinking]
I wish for a game that would launch fully fleshed out (as much as an ARG can be) without having the teaser "pre-game" period. Talk about breaking reality.
[/wishful thinking]

Oh well. I missed Urban Hunt (which I still think was a cool launch) and I'm not big on IM-heavy games. But I still have daemonworks and their mocking (which means they love me - so my shrink said). Very Happy

edit: *le sigh Dunno how I missed a whole page of this thread, but I did. /me gives herself a huge freaking trout.

well, we just found the www.labyrinthfoundation.com site, which was alluded to on lombartech (LT), but didn't actually appear until recently.

I also wish they could launch without so large of a teaser period.

Yeah I been trying Stegdetect too, but Im not sure what to do with the mess of files just yet.

I found this site which has some info about it.

I really wish I could find some solid instructions for running the damn program though Confused

Ugh, bad news for those of you that installed the StillLife demo. The demo contains StarForce protection, which is apparently "very bad" for your PC. More info and removal instructions are availabe on the StillLife forums.

I believe part of the thinking is that if a game launches "too fast" it has no chance for people to know about it before things start progressing. Jumping into an ARG already in progress tends to be awkward, plus there's the very real possibility a good amount of the material will already be "solved" before the masses notice what's going on.

This is why I never played The Beast. I only got the information regarding it two weeks late, but there was already a monstrous amount of stuff to catch up on.

Just to save people looking around for the right link to remove StarForce Drivers try

this link

it seems StarForce is on the demo and will be on the PC version of the Still life game.

after you play the demo, if you decide to after this, you have to remove the StarForce Drivers seperately.

This puts me off the game a bit.

Now what... ?

The excitement is fading, and i am losing interest in the game.
It all started so good with this ARG. Everybody were working so hard to find clues and tryed to encrypt and decypher everything that could look suspicious. GREAT ! and what fun that was. I couldn't get away from my pc, cause i wanted to know what was coming next.

But what now ?
Does it end here? Have we been thinking too much about the clues and solved it all to quickly? Has Microids not put enough clues out for us? are we too stupid to crack them ?

Man i wish there would be some answers...

This is just my opinion, but I think the best thing to do is wait, perhaps all the way until April 15th for this thing to really launch.

I can only hope that the ARG will be playable without the Video Game, as Microids just lost a sale with me with this StarForce crap. It's a shame, this game looked rather promising.

Same for me. And I think I'll let Microids know that wit the StarForce crap they are losing a good number of potential customers.
